"I loved the hotel and some of the best and most attentive service anywhere I've ever stayed. The signposting to the camp needs drastic improvement (my taxi got lost which I understood) and the road to get there is dreadful. The accommodation is fabulous and I slept so well. The hotel has an Indian owner and most of the guests were Indian, either from India or local. The way they spoke to and disrespectfully treated the staff was shocking and entirely unacceptable. "This property seemed to have quite good reviews. I was disappointed overall. Pros: -Rooms were clean and comfortable -Location was convenient -Staff was friendly Cons: -the hotel seemed pretty run down -the restaurant was substandard -you could hear everything through the walls -there was no hot water, even after 3 complaints -the staff moved all my stuff to another room without my prior knowledge or permission because they wanted to give my room to someone else"

"We had one night at The Farmhouse Inn, and we would have loved to stay longer. The garden is beautiful, the air is fresh and it is so quiet as it is a few km from the main road. Even though it is nothing fancy, the beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. The evening before we were asked what we wanted for breakfast the following day, and it is my impression that they can cook all the basic breakfast dishes that you need. Would definitely recommend and come back another time."

"This is an excellent and reasonably priced place to visit, very peaceful and quiet. The landscape is serene which I could view from my own private deck with fresh coffee throughout the day. Paul the manager was extremely helpful in making arrangements for a game drive and a couple of great cultural experiences with the local tribe, along with nightly camp fire and music from a Kenyan Nyatiti I believe. "Le Rustique is a charming haven just far enough from the bustling town of Nanyuki, while still very close. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the cottages are roomy, comfortable and quaint. Would definitely recommend!!"
