"I often sat at the Lodge and prefer this to the main hotel - the reasons being the rooms are more modern, the WIFI is top notch and doesn't suffer black-outs (like the main hotel does) and the bathrooms are newer and the showers are all really powerful. The only thing better at the main hotel is breakfast... but it isn't worth the extra ££. I'd very much recommend the Lodge !!!"

"Uniqueness & history of home… Beautiful home, be ready to walk up 3 1/2 floors if room is on top floor…. No lyft. Not a problem for a 17th century hm, just realize that- Would recommend a bathtub safety bar in rm 310#. Very sm tub, but nothing to help pull to get out of it! Rather comical trying to get out… just funny after 10 minutes… lol. Loved our stay…"

"This is a great place to stay. The rooms were motel style so open the door straight outside which was perfect as we had our 5month puppy with us. Dog friendly too, could take her into the pub. On arrival, in our room was a dog bed, two dog bowls, dog towel and a doggy welcome pack - great touch. Our room was comfy and had everything we needed. "Gorgeous room and lovely decor overall although a few things were broken opun arrival e.g. One of the blinds pull strings was snapped and one of the plant pots was crackes. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I would rate higher but the rooom did not come with any bath products or a hair dryer, and the tea and coffee was kept in the hallway between the rooms rather than having a selection in the room. Will definitely stay again if this is fixed. "

"A great place if you wana drive down the night before your cruise as its close to the terminal! Nice freindly staff, food exellent! The room was basic but clean as was the bathroom. We where in a downstairs room so we had noisy upstairs occupants so when they walked across the room you could hear the footsteps and floorboards creaking! Fire alarm went off in the early hours but that cant be helped! Not a bad stay and i would stay there again. Highly recommend the fish&chips👌"

"Me gusto mucho el servicio y tratamiento del personal, todo el mundo muy anable y servicial. No me gusto servicio del restaurante, el desayuno muy bueno, caliente, pero la misma cosa todos los dias, yo entiendo que es un típico desayuno inglés, pero debio haber mas variedad. Yo soy Hindu, me gusta el picante y no habia salsa picante en ninguna parte del hotel. La próxima vez traigo mi propio picanto 😊"
