The house is about 10 minutes up the mountain from the nearest major highway. The house is in great condition, the hostess (Beatriz) helped us out with some shampoo and soap when we didn't bring any, and the views are really spectacular.
I would only caution that the house doesn't have central heating. There is a wood stove (along with an electric stove in the kitchen), so we were able to heat the house (Beatriz even refilled our wood supply a few times), but it's obviously a bit harder to do that than simply adjusting a thermostat.
In the summer, the lack of central heating would not be an issue at all. In fact, the altitude would give you cooler air, by about 5 deg C, which would be perfect.
We would definitely visit again if we visited Tenerife in the summer.
