"Very good communication prior to stay- very accurate directions and we found the Cart House very easily. Lovely welcome from owner, plus Charli, the dog. "Everything was as listed comfy and unique.With beautiful surroundings lots of countryside with beautiful views. "A very different experience, a shame it was November so the weather wasn't great, but still a great experience. Would definately recommend flip flops for the bus stop showers, as that floor was a tad painful. And a shame the shower with a view had suffered in the last freeze, would be great in summer. Will consider a revisit in warmer weather if we need a place to stay in the area in the future."

"Very convenient location for easy travel. Property well described but it is tucked in beside a disused club house. Car parking a bit hit and miss but wasn't a problem. Inside was clean but this was a bit tarnished by a very smelly cigarette bin right beside the front door and the smell permeated the whole house. Beds were good, facilities were good."

"I was misled by the search criteria - putting in dates i needed. Then booked in for different days. Yes, i should have checked. But i know my search criteria had correct dates and didnt know it would have offered outside criteria. Luckily one property was vacant and i was given that. I was grateful. BUT i have to say the cost was at least double to what would have been a fair Off grid is one thing, but for that expense i was expecting a shared fridge and some solar lighting/electricity!! Rip...

"Lovely cosy cottage set in beautiful surroundings Steph and David are wonderful hosts , full of local knowledge , welcoming and so friendly - feel like we’ve known them forever . Their dog Tubs visited us regularly to check on us . It’s so peaceful there , waking to birdsong instead of traffic !! Would love to visit again ."

"My wife, dog and I stayed in the Parlour cottage at the end of August 2024. Please take note that they prefer cash or bankers transfer, Hotels.com does not take the money. It is so relaxing and quite, this is down to the hands off way of the owners, Martin & Kate. We arrived and found a wonderful welcome pack waiting of Bread, milk, eggs and biscuits. "We went out of season for a little break, & this was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble & the owners were so so lovely, friendly & very helpful. The warm & cosy little cottage was decorated beautifully & had everything you needed. (Plus a hot tub outside!) All in all a truly wonderful experience - our dog loved it too!!"

"This was our second stay and reminded us why we loved it the first time. The house is comfortable, the room spacious and the decor tasteful. "Check in was friendly and professional. Cleanliness was excellent and comfort in room was fantastic. Complementary spa use was a nice extra as well. One comment on the spa was the steam room and sauna weren't particularly hot. Perhaps just personal preference. Also the liner on the spa pool has come loose, feels a bit lumpy under foot."
