"We rented the family cabin for my family of 6 adults. We had the best time. The property isn’t new or refurbished. The cabin is rustic which gives it a woodsy charm. My family loved it. It’s close to restaurants and Sequoia National Park. My only complaint is there wasn’t enough trash bags and we couldn’t get ahold of anyone for more trash bags and towels other than that we enjoyed our stay."

"The steps outside could use some repairs but overall room was comfortable and just on a beautiful mountain. Be aware roads are very windy and narrow to get up there and stop for food before you do. Was great for late night star gazing. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful. He lead a couple nights of star gazing and pointed out the Atlas Comet, several satellites and planets. He took a map out for us for Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon and pointed out all the most sees....

"I can honestly say I've never stayed in a cabin without a restroom or electricity and I heated it with the wood they provided which was very funlight were propane lights, lit with a match. However the drive up and down the Mt. Was at the least, not for the faint of heart...very rough on my car."

"The cabin has been recently remodeled and was an excellent place for our family trip to see the Sequoias and Kings Canyon. The kitchen was well stocked, the shared living space was comfortable, clean, and cozy and the bedrooms and beds were quite comfortable. It was a short drive of 10 minutes to the gate of Sequoia and a little over an hour to Kings Canyon. A wonderful place to stay, I will stay there again when I visit next."

"Step back in time with a little log cabin and wood burning stove/heater. Off the main drag with abundant privacy. Less than an hour to General Sherman tree. Used the grill for dinners and enjoyed looking at that historic Sears Roebuck catalogue from 1908! Charmed!!"

"We really enjoyed staying at Ash Mountain for many reasons. To begin with, the setting is superb: a quiet mountain overlooking a river. The constant sound was super peaceful. Communication with Lori, the owner, was great and she helped us to ensure a pleasant stay. For example, we did not know about the harsh winter they had had at Sequoia as we do not live in the US, but she warned us about road and park closures so we could plan our days. "It's a very basic place. I think I paid a lot more that the place its worth. Maybe if I arrived directly, the fees would have been much lower. I feel scammed. The place is a good place but not for the price I paid. I paid almost the same in the W San Francisco Hotel! Not happy."

"Sandy the caretaker was lovely and did a good job, going out of her way to place fresh flowers and write directions to the park entrance. It has a very nice view and is quiet and remote. Furniture is quality and comfortable. But cats took over the porch, there was no heat, no cell reception, and the well could run out of water at anytime. Be ready for remote living."

Only room for improvement would be if the property had its own private entrance.
