BEST GIRLS WEEKEND
I celebrated my last weekend as a miss until I am a Mrs. with my best friends, cousins and aunts. I could not be any more happy with the location and home. From pick up at airport to chef and Support staff we are in deep appreciation for our trip and experience. We look forward to staying here again as we are sure that this will not be Our last time at casa ligera.

Best trip ever!
We absolutely loved Casa Ligera. There were thirteen women in our group. The house had lots of communal space. Alfredo and Andrea were lovely and so helpful. We also had a chef come for two night's per the rental company's recommendation and it was such a treat! The house itself is beautiful, well maintained, in an amazing location. Walkable to the beach, on the water, with the nicest views imaginable. The pool was lovely as well. Could not recommend this place more.

Wonderful ladies trip
We were a group of 11 ladies celebrating a 40th birthday. We had an amazing time at Casa Ligera. Great pool for relaxing with amazing views. Awesome Rooftop patio. The chefs recommended by host were fabulous! Well worth it. A great deal and the food was amazing. A real special treat. And definitely a highlight. I would say the house was perfect for friends as there were lots of rooms and several with multiple beds. However, it would not be great for couples as most beds were doubles or twins with only one king. Also not great for elderly, anyone with mobility issues or young kids as there are lots of stairs to get to most rooms and there is no protection from the pool. The location was great. Easy walk to beach, restaurants etc. I would definitely recommend this villa to friends. Overall it was great!

A beautiful space to relax and make memories
Our family of 14 had a wonderful stay at Casa Ligera! It is the perfect spot for a large family or group of friends to get together. We loved the gorgeous ocean view and had a blast in the pool, hanging out in the spacious kitchen and living room, and watching the stars at night from the terrace. We swam with turtles in the bay down the road and it was a unique and fun experience. We also used the chef service for two days and it was well worth it! The only inconveniences we experienced was that some of the queen sized beds seem a bit small, so it can be a bit tight to share. Also, one of the AC units in one of the bedrooms didn't seem to be fully working properly. One of the on-site staff members tried to fix it, but it still wasn't cooling the room entirely. That aside, we would definitely come to Casa Ligera again!

This house is gorgeous and an amazing size for a big group. Staff is so kind and do an amazing job, making you feel very welcome during your stay. Akumal is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. A great place to stay to get away and relax!

Gorgeous home! Perfectly appointed. Insane location.
Our state could not have been better. The home was absolutely gorgeous. Better than the pictures. All the rooms were beautiful and really comfortable beds. We had a blast. Could not even better.

Nice but dated
We had a great stay at Casa Ligera. The house is a great location (note that it not on the beach - but on the water.) Beautiful view of the ocean. A couple things that seemed different than the description. The house is a bunch of rooms connected by outdoor hallways. The only room in the main house is the primary. This house is NOT for young families. From the sunken living room where someone could just walk off the kitchen onto a concrete couch to the extremely steep and winding stairs to the primary to very little in the way of railings in the outdoor hallways to no railings or fencing around the pool, we all commented that it could be really scary for anyone under the age of about 8. Note that the white room is only 3 twin beds - no dresser or anywhere to put your things. I think the description says two beds. The maintenance team is top-notch. They were quick to address small issues and were very attentive. They even replaced the outdoor furniture when they realized that it wasn't up to their standards (we didnt even notice.). Really great team! Not sure we would go to Akumal again but the house worked for a fun Spring Break for our friends.

Extremely enjoyable community in Akumal. Great location, even though there was no sandy beach The Villa was situated in such a way that it allowed plenty of privacy and space Probably not the best place for small children too many stairs and no way to shut off the pool area. I don’t like how commercialized AKUMAL beach has become. We were constantly bombarded by sales people. It’s a shame because every year we’ve stayed there before. It was such a restful place to be In all I give the Villa a high rating.

Wonderful stay for a girls trip!
We really enjoyed our stay and had a lot of fun on our girls trip getaway. The house is situated in a gated community with lots of little bars and restaurants within walking distance. The housekeepers were helpful, and the host was responsive if we had any questions. Every room in the main house has a great ocean view! Thanks for hosting us Breanne!

Amazing !
The property was lovely great location it looks exactly like pics. We were able to walk or ride bikes to anywhere in the Akumal Village. Although the property did not have bikes in hand easy to rent nearby. Perfect place to relax and just enjoy the Ocean and Pool and great nearby restaurants. The Yal Ku Cenote Lagoon is within walking distance amazing snorkeling. Other Cenotes and Tulum nearby for other activities. We had an amazing experience everyone was helpful and kind the property manager put me in contact with the best Chef and Transportation company. Chef Antonio's crew was the best super professional Chef Jorge as well was the bomb! Mariano Transportation crew Nelson and Aldo were Awesome not enough words to express our gratitude. So lovely and just what we needed and were looking for to relax would go back for sure. So happy I found Casa Ligera thank you!!!

Review
We were celebrating a bachelorette party, and the house was perfect for us. All the bedrooms have their own bath, everyone is well spread out, and the shared spaces are comfortable with unbelievable views. The downtown is an easy walk and felt very safe. Several cute restaurants and shops to explore. You MUST have chef Adrian prepare at least one meal for you…many of the ladies in our party felt it was the best meal they’d ever eaten. Highly recommend.

Simply gorgeous and wonderful
Casa Ligera was an absolute dream. We were 10 adults and there was more than enough space for all of us. The rooms are big and spread out so everyone feels like they have their own private space. We hardly even used the guest house since we had enough space for all of us in the main house. The beds and pillows were super comfortable! Great towels and shampoo conditioner etc. in all of the bathrooms. Cleaners came everyday to help mop and take out trash and check on if everything was ok. The property owners were truly SOOOOO incredible with responding to us. I asked a million questions before going and they were absolutely wonderful. Casa ligera is truly a dream and I highly recommend it for family or friends or anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed vibe! Akumal is really a cute little area and it is not difficult to get a driver to take you into tulum or Cancun. Highly highly recommend!

Great Place
We were a large group of 14 and had a difficult time finding an equitable distribution of rooms for all parties. A stay at the guest house is definitely not as ideal as staying in the house proper. Interfamily politics aside the house was fantastic. We were meticulously cared for by Maria and Alfredo who made certain the house and terrace were clean, well-stocked and in tip top shape. Minor issues (screen door off-track, toilet leak, torn wind sail) were dealt with immediately. At dinner we were glad to be pampered by Chef Emilio and his trusted sidekick Esteban. I would highly recommend taking advantage of chef. His meals were fantastic. The house is a great place for the whole family to hang out together in the morning and evening. It also acts as a terrific jumping off point for most daily excursions on the peninsula while residing in a sleepier, safer location close to Yal-ku.

Our stay at Casa Ligera was excellent. The property was gorgeous, pictures don’t do that place justice! Plenty of space for all 14 of us. We had brunch with the chef, it was delicious! I’d definitely stay here again.

Excellent Vacation Home
The host was amazing and the house was 100% excellent. My family and I enjoyed our stay and the view of the ocean was breath taking. Catching the sun rise from the view was priceless. The house manager was very Helpful. Chef Adrian made us the best Mexican dishes and he and his team was amazing. The neighborhood is safe.. secure and welcoming. Nothing to worry about .

PERFECTION
It was exactly what we were looking for! I highly recommend it. The house is great, the views, even down to the linens...all wonderful. The area is very quiet, but has several nice restaurants/bars...and you are just a short drive to Tulum for gorgeous beach and nightlife...or a fun beach club and brunch. Playa Del Carment is about 30 min in the other direction for shopping and even more dining and the ferries to Cuzumel. I cannot say enough about Chef Emilio....he is FANTASTIC!!! The food was great and he was just so much fun to have around and easy to work with. We will be back!

I love this property!
Casa Ligera is absolutely beautiful. My guests and I had a wonderful time. The hosts were very responsive and the housekeepers were friendly and helpful. The villa is close to nice restaurants (within walking distance) and local vendors/markets. I definitely plan to book another stay at Casa Ligera!
