"We really enjoyed this quiet green oasis in Mendenhall Valley. Our favorite part was being right next to the Brotherhood Bridge Trail -- you really do walk right over that tiny bridge in the picture, and are right on the trails. Our toddler loved exploring tiny paths through the woods, as well as the very quiet neighborhood playground that was only a minute's walk through the trees. We loved enjoying our coffee on the porch. "My wife and I stayed one night and as a hobby wood worker I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to stay at Carriage House. The timber frame structure was beautiful, the custom cabinets and trim were impeccable, and the gazebo that housed the hot tub has to been seen to be appreciated. Ladies, if your man likes to work with wood this is a place they've got to see. "

"The unit was one of a variety of cabins on the property. The layout of the cabin was a bit of a surprise as the listing on Expedia didn’t specifically identify the photos for each cabin. What we missed was a chair or two to sit on other than on the bed, but once seeing the size of the unit, it would be difficult to find room for that. The unit was clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We prepared a meal there. The deck has a lovely forest view which we enjoyed....
