Left Early and found a different place to stay

We went out here for a work/ friends game day weekend You can tell the owner has just done the bare minimum upon arrival there was snow and ice all over the driveway and walkway very unsafe but they did have a bag of salt for us to salt our selves Everything in the property is of the cheapest quality want a tv it’s 20” in all rooms, toilet paper just bring your own it’s the worst quality, towels very tiny and smelly, shower doesn’t work, cook ware all bent and broken wifi doesn’t work. First night we got direct tv on the 2nd night it was disconnected because they didn’t pay their bill. I let the owner know the bill needed paid on my 2nd day there and it never got paid so we couldn’t watch the games. I had to go and find another Vrbo to stay at so we could do what we went out there to do. The owner hasn’t even responded to me after bringing up my concerns. I highly advise anybody looking to find somewhere else to stay.

Not worth the money

My fiancé and I were hoping to enjoy a romantic getaway. When we first arrived we noticed the front door was rusting on the bottom, the screens were ripped, the door on master suite was difficult to see through, ceiling fans and vents were covered in dust, there was mold in the shower, some lights weren’t working, the drawers would come off the tracks, and the dishwasher had a few issues. The.cabin is also much closer to the other two cabins than is shown in the pictures. We had a group in the closer cabin that was blasting their music and yelling all hours of the night, which prevent us from trying to relax and enjoy the hot tub and outdoors. I wouldn’t recommend this cabin. It is way over priced for the rundown house and outdoor area.

Relaxing Vacation

Beautiful house. Nice big deck to relax on . Husband fished on lake. We had several bonfires at night. Loved the place. Will stay here again.

Lakeview retreat

Property was partially painted. Not very eye appealing. Garage doors were dirty. ( Mud or something thrown across them) easy clean. Boats were full of water. Should have been checked before scheduled stay. Glider on porch had bolt missing so not usable. Easy fix. Lights in hot tub didnt work. No paddles for canoe. Game room was just garage.very hot and smelly so didnt use. I felt the orice was too high for what we got. Although it was fairly clean. And a beautiful area.

Lacking in curb appeal as the photos were taken when the property was in much better shape. Improvements need to be made on the exterior, boating equipment, and deck. Interior is pretty much as seen in the photos, but lacking in some minor amenities. These were brought to the attention of the rental manager. The view of the lake is beautiful

Close to Athens and lovely place!

My boyfriend, sister, and brother in law stayed for a weekend with the main reason to visit Ohio University as Alumni. This place was a perfect distance away and a great location. The house was very clean and perfect for our group with the games/hot tub/ fire pit. Check in was easy and the company was quick to respond to a question via email. Will definitely come back when the weather is warmer!

Great house and location

The property was in a great location. We enjoyed being by the lake and walking our dogs around the property. The house was clean and gave us plenty of room for our family. The grandsons loved being able to play pool in the garage. we had a little problem getting the door code, but a Vrbo employee worked diligently at finding the info we needed to get into the house. Would stay here again if in the area.

Weekend getaway

First night (friday) hottub wasn't working . I called Saturday morning to notify them about the issue and was told theyd try to send someone out. In the binder left at the property it says to call to notify them about this issue (obviously this is something that happens a lot) . I heard nothing back so called again Saturday evening and was told maybe the maintenance man didnt have cell service and thats it. So going 2 days nights without the hottub . Sunday around 4pm ( we are due to check out monday morning) the guy finally shows up . Takes the hottub panel off "fixes" the problem and leaves . The hottub was ice cold at that point and he Didnt even replace the panel so wires are then exposed. The wiring coming from the breaker box arent insulationed which is not up to code . So needless to say we couldnt use the hottub even if it was working . We were traveling with our daughter that has special needs and uses a wheelchair, we would have NEVER booked this property had we had known the hottub was like this. She needs away to relax her body after a long day in her chair. Its was obvious that this is an on going problem because it is stated in several reviews but in their cases it was fixed fast . If youre going to continue to advertise you have a hottub maybe invest in one that is safe and works. Its very unfortunate because other than that and some minor repair issues that need addressed it could be a wonderful place. The cleaning staff definitely do an amazing job.

Nice little property

We came for a quick getaway. This place was lovely. Very clean. Minor issues that were attended to quickly. Nothing that impacted our stay. The pool table is a nice addition. We enjoyed multiple games on one of the rainy days of our stay. Great location and the food from Lucky’s is close and delicious!

Great place to stay.

Came for parents week. This was a great place for the parents to stay. Have a daughter and two nieces at OU. The house was beautiful. It was nice to be able to have places to sit and talk and to cook/eat. It wasn't far from campus. We had a little challenge finding it but once there were pleased with our entire stay.

Loved the Lake!

We all had a great time at your place for Labor Day Weekend! My grandson, who is 10, just loved fishing off the dock and the paddle boat! They really enjoyed the pool table and basketball game in the garage.We did a couple of hikes at Hocking Hills too! It was a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend! Thanks for a great time!

Lake view Retreat Review

The stay was fun! There were some issues with the place like the ceiling above the bedroom shower is severely peeling, most of the blinds were messed up, the screens had holes in them, and it could have been cleaner, along with other smaller issues. But it is a great location! We love the lake, and had a great time!

Peaceful Lake Retreat

This property was everything we had hoped for. The setting is very tranquil and peaceful and we had great neighbors beside us. They had a couple of kids and it was fun watching the kids splashing around in the lake while I was peacefully fishing off of the private dock. The only thing I found to be a little upsetting was that the outside furniture had to be cleaned before we could use it. Other than that, it was a great stay and we will definitely be returning in the future.

Getaway

Beautiful property! Hot tub was broken, disappointed about that, because it was ONE of the main reasons we decided to stay there. Called property manager first night and they sent someone but really didn’t talk to us. Called out again due to hot tub not working and we just got ignored. Had some issues with little stuff like can openers and coffee pot and stove. They really need to start keeping up with property. The umbrella was broken for the table on deck, the kind of money you spend to stay you should have everything up to date!! I understand things happen, but again for the amount of money you spend for a night then everything should be up to date and should not be ignored when calling out to get things looked at. Other then that it is a very beautiful property!! Loved the paddle boats and canoe.
