Friends Trip

Our overall experience was good but the pictures on the website didn’t match the house, the outdoor hot tub wasn’t there, the deck looks a lot different in the pictures with tables and swings that don’t exist

Graduation party

Wonderful venue for our family. Great deck space for entertaining outdoors with a very picturesque setting.Location to OU campus was very convenient.Several family members want to return sometime in the future.

A great time.

We came here for a girls’ weekend and it was perfect. Enough room to spread out, a fully stocked kitchen, beautiful view of the water, and a super close proximity to Athens and OU. Would definitely recommend!

Old Guys Motorcycle Club

We rode motorcycles in from Maryland for a 4 day weekend. We found the rental to be perfect for our group. Plenty of room. Plenty of couches. A huge garage. And a coffee maker. We needed nothing else. It was great!!

The house was clean and in a beautiful setting. It was close to OU, which was the reason for our visit. The home definitely needs some TLC. Appliances, outlets, bathrooms, floors, window treatments all need love. This house could be incredible if it had money and love put into it.

Winter stay

We stayed 2 nights at the property during a visit to Ohio University. House was clean , welcoming. It was very cold so we did not try the hot tub or outdoor area but it looked nice and inviting. We had an issue with the lock box but were able to clear it up quickly with the property management . There are an abundance of light switches which made it a bit hard to find the right switch for that you wanted . Overall great stay and location

Not accurately listed- mold and other issues, needs repair could be a great property if they cared

I don't have enough space to completely and accurately review. Will do my best. Both hot tubs were not usable. outside mechanical pump fail message and inside moldy smelling. The room itself was molded in many areas, broken glass around and above tub. Master had old broken blind, left open to every one. Roof began leaking while we were there- old evidence of roof issues. Switch's are very odd through the house and safety inspection should be done before any one stays. Internet wont run tvs most of the time and is not accurately listed. They know this but not honest, along with the bathrooms, there's 2 full one half. the 3rd is actually an extra shower directly in the master bath. We called and kindly tried to deal with things. Yes Christmas it was understandable. but they had time to properly clean the tub and address the other issues that had been on going previous to the stay. When technician didn't show up we lost a whole day for our outing after Christmas waiting. And by the end of it they refunded a total of $200. Seems like the easiest way to do it is the answer for them. The deck needs repair and painting, there's a few other issues. What is most upsetting is the lack of transparency and obvious neglect they have been getting away. The rental uses customer service stalling techniques and has poor communication (lack of folow up) I wouldn't trust them to rent again. $200 was barely even acknowledging the time wasted. We were looking for more than a place to sleep.

Great Get Away

This is the second year we have stayed at Pine Lake for our family vacation. We love this tranquil location and spent the entire week here with no need to leave. Swimming, canoeing, paddle boating, and fishing consumed our week. We only wish the wildlife viewing area that’s pictured on the website had been kept up. We found it in disrepair and we’re bummed. Wish the lighting around the lakes had been kept up along with the abandoned heart shaped pond with the fountain we found. We truly love this house and the memories we’ve made here over the past two years!

No fish- Crazy lights

There were so many light switches that seemed to go to nothing. It would have been great to have lights out back on the deck. The hot tub jets would not run. The lake seems to be heavily fished because nothing but tiny fish were biting.

Bitter sweet experience.

Indoors: Clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed and plenty to do. Wall switches were a nightmare. A few beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Outdoors: Deck was unsafe. Needs boards replaced, ideally the deck should be replaced. Was not clear as to sharing deck, boats and games with neighbors. Neighbors had cages set up in pond to trap turtles. They caught one and took it to their unit to cook and eat. Gas grill is a fire hazard on the old rotting deck. We had a great family vacation in spite of minor issues. But, the listing should be more clear on sharing outdoor space your other rentals. Hopefully this review is taken as positive criticism to point out ways to enhance your rental.
