They definitely have an ant problem on the inside. I figure that issue would have been resolved from the previous guest complaints but its an ongoing issue. I had messaged three times in the week with no answer so we were hoping everything was going to be ok. We asked another holiday maker staying near us and managed to make contact. "This house was just as the pictures showed. It was very open and accommodated our family very well. The whole process was very easy from start to finish. Gary was very responsive and accommodating to my last minute changes as well as my requests. I would one thousand percent recommend booking with Gary. "Two friends drove from different states and met in the middle...Oxford AL! Enjoyed the house and had plenty of space, enjoyed Hubbards on Main for dinner and a church service nearby. Although we walked a short block to the quaint downtown (truly, so close), we occasionally faced a stray cat or barking dog off leash. Very easy check in and out. Great communication with the host. "The room itself was very clean. The hostess responded very quickly. The beds were comfortable. However, this was not like any place I’ve ever stayed in. That might be my fault, but I think of VRBO as vacation spots. The area was sketchy. The bottom floor had a terrible smell. The kitchen was small for cooking and preparing breakfast. There was no place to eat. The bedroom was a little warm. Although the site said there was a washer/dryer, it was on the first floor and $1.75 in quarters."

"Entrance to this property is difficult to see at night. The house is an antiquity and quite beautiful. A look back into the past. The bed is quite comfortable. Breakfast was very good and hot. The only thing I missed was a hot waffle. The only downside was street noise through the night. It was sparce but noticeable and included train horns as they went through crossings. Fortunately, I like train sounds."
