We stayed here the third week of June and had a great, relaxing time at the cabin. My wife, kids, and my wife's parents all stayed here and never felt too crowded. My kids loved the sandy beach, they would go out to play as soon as they got up in their pajamas. The deck overlooking the lake was a great place to relax and get some sun. The fishing was good too, we headed out every morning.
There were only a couple of drawbacks. The Alexandria area is currently in a drought, so the level of the lake is down compared to where it usually is. This meant my father-in-law couldn't dock his boat at the cabin since it was too shallow. We had to drive about a mile to the public boat dock every time we wanted to take the boat out. This is not the fault of the property owner, but it would have been nice to dock the boat at the cabin. And in fact, the owner had someone come out and measure the dock to see about adding more length to get into deeper water.
The second was having to launder all of the towels we used when we checked out. This is not something we were used to with other Vrbo properties, usually we just have to have our used linens and towels collected for the property owner/manager to clean when they prepare the property for the next client.
Those were just two minor inconveniences, the rest of our vacation was wonderful. The cabin is very clean and updated, and the kitchen had everything we needed.
