The house itself is extraordinary. It is spacious and well equipped and its situation is wonderful. A small path down the hillside to the shore is a real treat and provides a wonderful opportunity to watch the summer sunset. It is not a fussy house, so it is easy to keep it clean and tidy.
Annagry is a magical place. There are beaches nearby of soft clear sand, for sea bathing, castle building and kite flying, there are bars and a hotel and a coffee shop in the village itself, and there is access to the islands from the pier at Kincasslagh. There are guillemots, and cormorants, and in May there were cuckoos. As we watched the sunset from the tip of Cruit island, a seal broke the surface of the bay and gave us a good hard stare.
We climbed Errigal, we walked in Glenveagh and we went to see Finn Harps play in Balleybofey.
The house is well run and all our communication with the owner was easy, friendly and helpful.
