We fell in love with this cabin from the time we booked it based on the photos and description. When we arrived the location and surrounding were as described if not better. When we entered the cabin we loved it. It was charming and cozy but as we walked around we realized it was extremely dusty, bugs everywhere, most of the furniture was outdated or falling apart, one of the toilets did not work, stains on the sheets and covers and the worse part the Heat was not working properly. We contacted the manager, Mary Ellen and she sent us Tim and Kendra who during the entire stay were very nice and helpful. They got us heathers and blankets and did their best to clean the dust. The temperature dropped very low during our stay and since the heater did not work well we froze and were very uncomfortable. We had to go get wood for the fireplace to help warm the cabin as the one that was available was dumped and would not stay on and it helped a little bit but we froze. The worse part during our stay beside freezing was during the checkout. Tim, came to our Cabin at 10am to get the keys and clean the place as other guests were coming. We had all our stuff ready to go by 10:15am as we were suppose to checkout by 10am. When I stepped outside I did not find Tim and the lockbox was not working o we sta and waited. Later around 10:45 I walked around and found Tim behind the barn and gave him the key, also explained we were waiting for him. That’s when I started getting messages from Mary Ellen the proprety manager who was very rude why we checkout out late. I explained to her yet she was very unprofessional and between quite said “ we are done discussing this”. I was expecting a much more accommodating proprety manager in this situation considering we were very uncomfortable in the cabin. In summary while I was disjointed with the Manager and the freezing condition of the Cabin and overall upkeep I do want to thank Tim for all his help during our stay.
