relaxing getaway
This is a very nice older home. Everything thing we needed was at the home. On a road with no traffic. Location very peaceful and quiet. Will come here again.

LOVE Silver Tree Cabin
Wayne is an excellent host, Betty Jo always makes my return visits special! I didn’t check in until 2-3 AM and Betty Jo always has it well lit. The property is always well maintained. I took full advantage of the fireplace this trip and we got snow. Silver tree cabin is my ideal getaway to reconnect with myself. Lake Lure is coming back to life !!!Thank you so much Wayne and Betty Jo!!! See you in a few months!!!

Family getaway
We truly enjoyed getting away for a few days to relax and spend time together. The host was more than gracious and very helpful before and during our stay. We even enjoyed cinnamon rolls left in fridge for us!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the cabin. Between the wrap around porch and fenced in area for the dogs which was perfect. It was very nice and much needed getaway.

Such a sanctuary
Wayne was an incredible host and was so communicative. The home is absolutely wonderful and the perfect cabin to rest and recharge with beautiful views all while still being close to the best of lake lure. The cabin has literally everything you could possibly need and more. I’m so grateful for the town’s kindness and how welcoming they were to us despite Helene. We cannot wait to be back!

Lovely quiet retreat.
We enjoyed the lovely and peaceful mountain views. The cabin was perfect for our family. It was very clean and well stocked of everything we needed. We also enjoyed the close proximity and easy access to all the activities nearby.

Retreat in the woods
My sister and I had our annual getaway at the cabin and it was wonderful! All the porch sitting one could desire, a fully equipped kitchen for meals in and a clean and airy common area. We enjoyed playing foosball and chess as well as our outdoor relaxation time and it’s just a short drive into town for groceries, dining out or activities. Our dog enjoyed her time so much that she staged a protest when it was time to leave- it was so pleasant to be able to let her be free on the porch because of the gate across the front entrance. Overall a 10 out of 10!

Great time
The property is magnificent. Had everything we wanted and needed. Just a small heads up on the wifi. We're normally off the grid on vacation but this time we were house hunting and communicating with the Realtor and mortgage broker was a nightmare.

The property is in a perfect location only a few minutes from Lake Lure. It felt private but safe. Our dogs had fun too! The overall feel is laid back and the cabin was clean!

Lake Lure Vacay
The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything one would need for preparing a meal. My husband enjoyed using the Weber grill. The temperature was very hot outside but the cabin stayed cool without any issues. We brought our two senior dogs who have slowed down a bit from the high energy they used to have. I chose to walk them through the woods on a path that led to a side gate into the fenced backyard. The backyard is steep but by doing this it was easier for them to have access to the lower portion which is more level. There was lots of information in the cabin concerning places to go in the area. We enjoyed spending time on the decks listening to nature. Thank you Wayne for sharing your cabin with us.

Great vacation
This property is nestled away in the woods, very quiet!! The cabin is stocked very well. The view is spectacular!! Very close to Lake Lure/ Chimney Rock. We highly recommend it for a very relaxing getaway! We will be back!

3-generation getaway
Very nice stay! We enjoyed the privacy of the cabin with proximity to Lake Lure. The cabin was perfect for our 3 generations: main floor BR for 89-yr old, plus 32-yr old w/ 2 dogs, and 68-yr old middle. Varying needs and all met! One cautionary comment, and the reason for my one 4 star rating (accuracy of listing) - the fenced dog yard is secure and big, but it's very steep (not apparent in the pic), both the yard itself and the access steps. An old or very small dog could struggle. Ours were fine, but no ball-throwing. Our host, Wayne, was very responsive, both with the usual communication (check-in, etc) and for a fix for an unusual big hitch (no water!). He got someone there pronto for a fix. In all, we really enjoyed our stay.

It's peaceful surrounded by trees
My friend and I had a great time away from the hustle of city life. But your just minutes away from stores or Lake Lure. We enjoyed sitting out on the wrap around porch.
