Cozy
A great little cabin with all the amenities. We enjoyed our getaway and was plenty warm in late winter. It was very peaceful and loved seeing the deer. We made a few meals and also went to a local restaurant. We will plan a return trip to the Nelson Base Camp for fishing and hiking. Thanks again!

A much needed respite after the holidays. This was our second visit to Nelson Base Camp and it did not disappoint. A perfect cabin and location for both adventure and relaxation.

The perfect Cabin
Nelson's basecamp is truly an incredible cabin. The cabin is set in a private and peaceful area. Surrounded by trees and wildlife. The wood stove kept us really warm all through the night. We loved all the historical pictures and items that are placed throughout the cabin. This place is a true cabin experience! We loved every moment we were here. We will definitely be returning to Nelson's basecamp.

Awesome cabin!
We loved our stay, only wish hot tub was working , would have made it perfect. Loved the cabin and all the decor and warmth of the fire. A real true cabin! Watching the deer and hearing t h e rain on the skylights was amazing. We were all disappointed hot tub was not working on such short notice , but other than that. PERFECT!

Lovely area, super close to Mt. Rainier National Park. Hot tub was so nice, movies, and comfortable living area, bed comfortable, towels supplied, as well as toiletries. Would recommend.

Not bad
Cute cozy cabin with a great location close to Mt Rainier. Lot of good lighting during the day with nice windows. Check in was a little difficult because they did not let us know the front glass door was broken so cannot go in through there. AC was not working and the shower drain is very clogged. Also a lot of bugs but probably can’t do much about this in the woods.

Cozy cabin in the woods
We enjoyed the fire and hot tub while it rained. The cabin is comfy and located in a nice community. A few more kitchen items would be helpful but we had the basics. Thank You! for sharing your cabin.

Wonderful stay! It was a quiet and peaceful stay. It is a remote-ish area, so there is no cell signal, though the WiFi works well. The shower is a little inaccessible for folks with mobility issues but is definitely functional. Overall, a wonderful stay for my family and I. Everytime we thought, "I wonder if they have this thing," they did! They provided hiking sticks, chairs, etc. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful, quiet weekend away!

Comfortable Rustic Beauty
We found this place blissfully serene and enchanting. The beauty and quite surroundings were wonderful, and the jacuzzi experience after days of hiking trails and ridges at Mt.Rainer was priceless. We slept very soundly. This place has modern comforts, fulling stocked modern kitchen, yet also a rustic charm. A slight suggestion would be to add a handle to help getting in and out of the indoor tub for us seniors in early 70's. We loved our stay here and hope to return in the future. ( mid June , 2024)

Tranquil getaway
We loved staying at this cozy cabin. It was perfect for my family which includes two teen daughters. The beds were nice and comfy. It is best to stop at a bigger town to get groceries if you plan on cooking since the closest store has limited supplies. The weather ( mid June ) was perfect for hiking or taking a road trip through the forest . I would definitely stay here again .

Location, laundry and the hot tub!

Perfect wonderland cabin!
Clean and cosy, rustic and relaxing- a perfect location to the park, with all the amenities you can imagine, and then some. The Denali memorabilia is really special. My kids say it's the best place ever and they loved hanging in the swing chair!
