"We were here for four days. It is amazing! The building was newly renovated, comfortable and attractive. There are three miles of mowed trails. The property is lovely, lots of deer, birds and ducks. It is private with little light pollution, giving you a wonderful view of the stars and planets. The Milky Way was brilliant. We are looking forward to returning this winter to Cross Country Ski."

"I recently stayed at the Spirit Lodge with three of my children (18,15,13) and we all had a fantastic time. The location was perfect as we were able to bike to the Town Park for beach time and canoeing. We were also able to explore the State Park as it was just a short drive away. The lodge was exceptionally clean and had all the necessary amenities. We will definitely be back in the future!"

"Our stay at Gooseberry Cottage was everything we had hoped for. It was a great home base to explore all that Madeline Island has to offer. The property was very private and peaceful and we had lots of fun on the beach in the lake. The home was very comfortable for our family of 4."

"Not ideal for a couple in their late 70's, recovering from a recent heart attack - lots of outside steps to the second floor suite. Only one easy chair, the other one of us had to sit on a straight-backed chair, or in bed. Fortunately, we didn't spend much time in the suite. The kitchenette had everything we needed to prepare a light breakfast and supper. Pleasant atmosphere, and certainly adequate."

"Everything was great with our stay. The house is beautiful and well appointed. The lake views and the peaceful setting was just what we needed! Copper Falls State Park is a gem and the hiking was incredible! The town of Mellen is a quaint little town with a nice bar and grill. "This little cabin is no frills and exactly what we were looking for. No internet, no phone service, and no tv (other than dvd's and vhs tapes) it was like stepping back in time to before everyone became tethered to technology. The quiet of the woods, and the relaxing sounds of the babbling curtent of the river was amazing. "
