This “cozy” little cabin is not what it) seems. It is more like a rundown shack in great need of major renovation or tear down. We paid more than $300 a day for four days to live in a bug infested, poorly equipped nightmare of a place. I list some examples.
Our first problem was the electronic key at the front door. It wouldn’t work. We thought we had the wrong code. We called and we did have the right code, but the electronic lock wasn’t working properly, and we had problems with it throughout our stay. This needs to be fixed and until it does, guests should be extended a door key.
Upon entering this so-called cozy cottage, it is apparent that this unit is in great need of renovation. The advertised air conditioning is nothing more than a small window unit in the living room. But this “cottage” is not fully air conditioned. In fact, the bedroom in the rear was stifling and opening up any windows in this place isn’t practical because the inside and outside portions of nearly all the windows in this place are dominated by bugs and spiders. Fortunately, we found a little noisy fan that if aimed directly at the bed area, gave us some comfort. If the windows and screens were cleaned, then the whole unit would be more comfortable.
The place was generally clean, except some of the base boards had dead moths, spiders and lots of black bugs crawling out from under the old, beat up base boards. We killed dozens of black bugs all week.
