Family beach vacation
The property was perfect for our grown children and their families. There was plenty of space and the private bathrooms were appreciated. The gathering space was more than ample and the garage was well stocked with everything needed for the nearby beach. The only recommendation is that the dryer be serviced due to the touchy start control.

Great host makes for great stay!
The house was perfectly clean upon arrival and has everything you need during your stay. The host is excellent, easy to get in touch with and very accommodating in every way! It’s always nice to stay in Brigantine but staying here makes it even better! Will definitely be staying here again this year and highly recommend this property for any couples or families.

Brigantine 1st Timers
Our family (dogs and children under 10 included) tried Brigantine beach for the first time. Our stay was lovely! The location and easy access to the beach was perfect. The kids could ride their bikes on roads with minimal traffic, lots of places to walk within a mile and the beach supplies at the house (chairs and cart) were so helpful! The house was very clean and supplied most basic towels and bedding. Things to know if you are not familiar with Brigantine, there are limited dining options and no farm stands so bring food you want to cook/eat at the house. It is also mostly “bag free” and promotes reusable bags, so have them handy anywhere you go. The island is also mostly a “cash preferred/required” place, which we were not prepared for as we have found more “paperless” travel destinations lately. Last note, we found a lot of blogs about the beaches being “dog friendly” but found ZERO beach’s to take our dogs. Overall, our beach week getaway was just what we needed!

Food for thought
We've vacationed to Brigantine multiple times and have always loved it, which is why we keep coming back. However this time was a bit disappointing. It was our first time renting a duplex. We know we were paying for a good location but the house needed some updating for what we paid. The greenflies were so bad that we researched and made our own spray with essential oils so it was dog friendly because the flies also bothered our pup. We also didn't realize that the beach is becoming less and less. We were there when they started dredging and were told the dog beach was going to be closed off the first week of August. Thankfully we did get some beach time as we planned this trip to be able to enjoy it with our pup and there is only one part dogs are allowed. As for the town itself, we take lots of walks and every other yard had a sign for the dog not to touch it. We saw alot of people who own dogs yet there were many people with negative comments about where dogs were allowed. It became very disheartening to go on a walk and be worried we were going to get yelled at from a local. We were very excited going to Brigantine with our pup and made the best of it but it became more disappointing because of how unfriendly the town was toward dogs. Just food for thought if you are planning a vacation with your furry family member.
