The property has everything it said it would. Clean beds. Two showers. Plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. Was unable to have a fire due to 50mph winds haha, but they had plenty of wood if I did need it. Very quiet. Loved the pillows on the bed.

Would definitely stay again. Surprised it was a condo type situation but our neighbors were considerate. Communication with host was prompt, thorough and polite. (Great directions to the cabin.) Well appointed with plenty of clean linens, pots/pans and dishes. Even had a corkscrew and a cheese grater, both of which came in handy. The view of the marsh was fabulous with plenty of birds. The deck chairs were comfy. We never really wanted for anything.

The location is beautifully peaceful, with fascinating wildlife to observe. The kitchen has all the basics, and the wifi is reliable. We appreciated the measures taken to ensure privacy and insulate sound for indoor restfulness. Check-in and communication were easy and efficient. We would happily stay here again.

Dissapointed

First off wasn't listed as a condo. Two lounge chairs in very poor condition chairs (in my opinion) just saying need to be thrown out. Deck has never been tended to. Way to many things need updating. We left the next day. Only vacation we get all yr. long so lost all our money.Don't know what was sprayed but strange oder in the rental. Sorry to have to say that. But true as I said in my opinion.

It is what it is

I always leave good reviews and if there is an issue, i always communicate it with the owner, prior to leaving a poor review... but i feel like this one has to be raw. The odor in the house was .... indescribable. Grandmas house, that smoked her whole life... inside, and flooded her house a few times. Thats the best i got. I slept on the couch and my husband slept on the bed downstairs, on top of a made bed. The bed upstairs feels like an air mattress.The neighbors have kids and are NOT quiet about it. (Im a young mom to 2 little rambunctious kids.... so im not hating, but i thought it would be 2 rental homes...) The house just wasnt cozy and i feel like the pictures dont do it justice. Peak of the trip (which was a 1 night stay for myself and my husband to get away from the craziness of life and relax... joke was on us) was when i went outside and seen 2 cherry trees on the property with ripe cherries. There was no beach to swim in, just marsh land. No swings like in the pictures ... just... marsh and sticks and still water. (Id like to add, that we stayed 20 minutes north once before, in a smaller cottage and had no issues. The water DOES have a strong odor, but it did also in the other home we stayed in so it must be a lake huron thing.. just noting that for the potential renters.) I wish i had something more than cherries to brag about.

We enjoyed the night around the bonfire. Pictures led us to believe there was a beach. Water was too shallow to swim and had a bad odor. Otherwise the cabin was comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay. The accommodations were clean, neat and tidy. The Host was very responsive and even called me just after I left to tell me i left clothes in the dryer! I was able to turn around and collect them.

Lovely place

The site was well maintained and well appointed. The ONLY negative was what I assume was the water softener. At 3 in the morning I was awakened by a loud hissing noise. It happened again a little while later. Seemed to be coming from the locked closet next to kitchen sink.

Great little duplex

The pictures are very accurate. We had a friendly Peacock stay on the porch overnight with us. The owner told us he is a friendly neighborhood Peacock that stays at different places along the shore. The property is a duplex and the other side was occupied during our stay. The views on the lake, even while frozen, were amazing. The house faces west so you will be treated to amazing sunsets.

We came with an impression that it would be smaller, but it was much bigger than expected. And it was directly in front of the water. Place was extremely clean and kept well and I can’t say I have any issues from any of it all. Also there’s two bathrooms instead of the listing that says 1
