An hour b4 check-in, received a call saying the cleaner was ill & our rental was not unavailable. They provided 4 other options, none of which fit our needs. For over an hour our group searched alt options, paid to store our luggage & halted our trip to figure this out in a panic. It felt as though we were being scammed into another listing, all of which were half of what we paid. When I responded that none of the options provided met our needs & I wanted a refund, the story changed. The “manager” said they now had a cleaner on site & it would be ready soon. I was told 12 minutes past check-in the unit was ready. None of it made sense. Why was I called & told it was no longer available if it was just going to be an hour past? They wasted my time, caused panic to the group & were extremely rude & not understanding of our concern. Ultimately, we did get into the house & it was NOT cleaned. There was hair in each restroom, floors had spots/spills, bedding did not smell fresh & more. I was told the cleaning fee would be waived based on the delay with the original cleaner but it should be waived based on the fact the unit was not cleaned prior to our arrival. The home overall was nicely decorated to the description of eclectic. It has a good flow for groups. The air conditioning was freezing in some rooms & non-existent in others which was hot for summer nights. It should also be noted that trash trucks arrive EVERY SINGLE MORNING to service restaurants nearby - lots of noise.
