"We had a great stay house was really clean and comfortable but unfortunatly it is about 20 km from the train station as it says on website its 15 min walk so we had to get taxis in and out of town which was 30 euro each way Also they don't have credit card facilities so the money had to be revoluted or cash and we weren't informed of this untill day 2.."

"It is a really good house for a group of up to 10 people. It's three minutes from Westport by car and easily walkable too. The house overall was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The beds were really good quality and comfortable too. The only thing I would suggest is it would be great to have a few additional en suites but it worked well as it was for our group. We all agreed that we would happily rebook The Rocks were we to return to Westport again."

"Beautiful house, very well equipped in a lovely, quiet spot convenient for Claremorris and the airport. Small herd of alpacas in the field beside the house are a delight. John and Sarah were happy to help with anything we needed and were very kind and accommodating when a storm disrupted our travel plans. Would highly recommend."

"A really lovely place to stay in Westport. The three bedrooms, each with their own baths, were perfect for my aunt, my daughter and me. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the beds quite comfortable. Seamus meet us at the door with short notice when our flight was delayed. The location is perfect, right in the middle of town with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Two things to note. There is a kitchen and dining area but no sitting room. "We spent two lovely weeks at the Brownstown Lodge. The house is spacious and comfortable. It was a good base for our exploration of western Ireland. Thomas responded immediately to our texts. Jim and Mary were wonderful hosts. There was cake and a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers waiting for us upon arrival. Midway through our stay, Mary brought us a delicious homemade rhubarb crisp! We loved the peaceful country setting. We are in a hotel now in Dublin. . .missing the comforts of the Brownstown...

"This well appointed immaculate home provided all the comforts of home for our group of golfers from the USA. The beds were SO comfortable and the separate bathrooms for each bedroom were a real bonus. "Wir haben den Aufenthalt in dem gemütlichen und gut ausgestatteten Haus sehr genossen. Insgesamt ist das Haus jedem zu empfehlen, der Ruhe und einen guten Ausgangspunkt für den eher rauen Westen sucht, und längere Anfahrtswege an die Küste nicht scheut. "The Walsh's home is a perfect haven. Everything was exactly as noted with beautiful details to all the remodeling done. The location is on a relatively quiet road that is about 2 miles from end to end and makes a perfect walk in the AM or PM. You may have a few sheep or others who demand a photo or two. Short distance to Cong and Ballinrobe, Oughterard, and Maam area are lovely to explore. Michael stays in contact as needed as well as gives you space to explore. I will return, hopefully!"

"Ireland itself and especially this residence gave us way more than we expected. we rent this house for 7 persons and stayed 10 days. In fact it felt more like 3 weeks. You instantly feel home - there is a big difference if the residence is owner used or just commercially used for tourists."

"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Pio. It was a great place to relax. I watched for the cows to come into the pasture next door every morning. Mama and babies were so cute. We went to Cong and loved going there it was so interesting. We took the boat trip on the Lake and did some hiking. The grounds of Villa Pio are beautiful! "Our family of 4 spent 6 nights at this lovely place and had a great time. Good location - we were able to explore the area (Balleek Forest, Westport, WAW coast) but you would need a car. The house way wonderful - lots of space and super comfy beds. My kids didn’t want to leave - swing sets, hot tub, beach, and donkeys - what more could they ask for."

"Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. We will definately return to stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, that is for sure! Derek Hanley, and family Dublin."
