Great location
We had an amazing time staying with you! Oscar, our concierge, was exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we booked to the day we left, he was always available to meet our needs, arranging airport transportation, coordinating the delivery and pickup of our rental car at the house, and ensuring everything went smoothly. The property itself is in a fantastic, private location, and we loved seeing all kinds of wildlife roaming the grounds. We’ll definitely be returning for another stay!

Beautiful Villa
What a magical place you have! The villa was everything we had hoped it would be. The view is stunning! The kitchen had everything we needed. We were completely comfortable with having AC's in each bedroom. The air would flow into the living area and keep us cool. We were visited by a coati each day. He was cute, but he will knock over the trash. We also enjoyed seeing some toucans. Oscar, our concierge, was incredibly helpful with making our stay run so smoothly. He was quick to check in with us each day and made sure we had everything we needed. The drive up the hill was rough, but so worth it once we arrived. We had an amazing time and hope to get back here one day! Thank you!

Gorgeous getaway
The home is just like it’s pictured — beautiful, secluded, quiet, scenic. The drive up the mountain to reach it requires 4WD and a concerted focus. But the mountain is easily mastered as long as you don’t take the wrong road back down. Oscar, the property liaison, is phenomenally attentive and willing to help at every turn. The entire trip was a fantastic break, rich in wildlife that’s unique from our US experience.

Great stay!!!
The property has a beautiful view of the ocean with seclusion from other properties. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay - getting massages at the villa was amazing. Plus we had a personal chef come to a villa to celebrate our anniversary which was phenomenal. Truly a great experience and would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful Home
This is a beautiful, private property with a million dollar view! It was very clean! Everything you need is in the house (dishes, cookware, laundry, iron, hair dryer, detergents, garbage bags, towels, etc.). We loved the outdoor patio and pool! The wildlife is great. Tucan birds came by in the early morning and evening at sunset. There were other small mammals that visited the yard during our stay as well. We were close to lots of waterfalls, the mangrove monkey boat tour was great, the Costa Rican spheres were very cool, great dining options in Dominical and at Scala and Jolly Roger (closest to the house). Awesome views of the Whale's Tail from the home. We didn't want to leave! ❤️

Heaven on earth
We stayed at this property for 5 weeks! My heart ached a little when it was time to go home. The comments about needing a 4 wheel drive are accurate. Oscar, the best concierge in the world, helped me with renting a vehicle since I could not find whether the rental vehicles were 4 wheel drive on the websites. From the time I secured this house rental one year earlier, Oscar was always helpful, friendly and immediately responsive whenever I communicated with him. It was wonderful being greated every morning by yellow throated toucans and pendulum birds...more often than not a coatimunda strolling through the yard. Grunts from howler monkeys could be heard every morning and evening, though we never saw on the mountain. We did however, see capuchin monkeys 3 times...and lots of tropical birds and butterflys 🦋. Mostly I was charmed by Lizzie, a Jesus lizard (common basilisk). She likes hanging by the edge of the infinity pool and having the water wash over her feet. She is not real shy and I could be in the pool a foot away and she would just look a me curiously when I talked to her. The house....just lovely! There weren't any spices or condiments left by previous renters so if you're going to stay a while, you might want to bring you're favorite spices in a ziplock. Spices are pretty inexpensive though. Also, I would recommend bringing a few extra face cloths...one face cloth, bath towel and hand towel for each of 4 people, plus a pool towel. ❤

Beautiful!
The house was everything shown in the pictures. Takes about 20 minutes of 4x4 1st & 2nd gear driving to reach the house from the main road, but that's definitely part of the adventure that gets you the spectacular views from the house. Scala and Bar Jolly Roger are great food options closest to the house. Can't say enough good things about the house and its private lot. We enjoyed seeing toucans morning and evening each day. The cody was cool to see as well, but it will definitely go after the trashcan after you put the first bag in it - so keep the bungies tight. We hope to return to this house in the future!

Beautiful villa, stunning view
As noted by many, the drive up to the property is an adventure. But it's definitely worth it. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The views are amazing. We were visited by toucans and other birds as we lounged by the infinity pool. We had a very relaxing stay and were sorry when it was over. Oscar was super helpful. Highly recommended!

The property is exactly as described, and our property manager Oscar was very responsive and wonderful. The only problem we had was the off-roading feeling we had reach time we got out to explore other places, roads to the property are bad. Rest the views, the property itself were worth it.

You can rent a piece of paradise!
This property is absolutely perfect. I usually try to add some constructive criticism but with this home I am 100% happy. We were just two and the place was perfectly sized, even with two more it would work well. We spent most of time time outside gazing at the magnificent view and I suspect you would too. The house is stocked with essentials and very, very comfortable. A highlight was being greeted within minutes of our arrival by a flock of Toucans that visited regularly each morning. You need a 4x4. Fact! Enjoy

Spectacular secluded getaway
Don't let the drive from the highway discourage you, it's so worth it! The roads are very well maintained, just really steep so 4wd is a must. Besides, once you get there, you never want to leave. We were so happy with the time spent there, it was very private, and the views were absolutely captivating. One of my many favorite features was the unique shower which opened up into a lush garden area that was like the garden of eden. Oscar our concierge was so helpful. Truly an unforgettable experience and I cant wait to come back.

Breathtaking Views
My family stayed here for 7 nights. A fantastic home tucked into the jungle. The views are really amazing. We spent a lot of time in the pool gazing out at the vista. We highly recommend a stay here. The only thing that we thought could be improved upon was the router for the internet was old and therefore the connection wasn’t as good as it could have been. A back up generator could also help during the blackouts. Aside from this it was spectacular.

Amazing View
Absolutely impressed with this property. The view and the home itself, was so nice and well kept that I never wanted to leave. Could have sat by the pool all day with a view like this. Our concierge Oscar was without a doubt the best resource on this trip, he was always available for help or questions. He even went on our white water rafting trip with us!! 5 stars for Oscar! Oscar also escorted us up the mountain on arrival to make sure we found our way perfectly. Our first trip up the mountain was a little intense but got better each trip up and down. If this home is on your list just go ahead and choose this one. I would hands down come back to this place over and over again. Pura Vida :)

Beautiful Rain Forest Vacation Home
If you’re looking for amazing views, this house is for you! High up in the hills outside of Dominical and Uvita, it’s a great house with a great property manager. He was in constant contact with us as needed for different things such as booking adventures and power outages. Things you need to know for this house: the 4x4 car is not an option. It’s a fun and amazing drive getting up to the house on (mostly) unpaved roads for 4 miles. If you’re not the adventurous type, this house might not be for you. The drive is worth it though as the views you see in the picture are 100% what you get. We saw Toucans every morning, usually 3-4. We had a friendly Coati come by our house as well (pretty much a Costa Rican raccoon). There were 3 frogs/toads that came by every night to join us next to the pool. This is Costa Rica, so just know your power might go out and flicker every so often, but just make the best of it and enjoy the amazing views and environment. I’ve already told my friends and hope they get to experience this house if they make the trip down!

There’s not a better view of the “Whale’s Tail” than this!
Initial feelings were a bit mixed while following Oscar, the property manager, up the road. I had read all the reviews but you really have to experience it to understand. Let me tell you that when we pulled into the driveway, all of our worried dissolved! I have not seen a view like that and it’s worth every minute of the 20 min drive up. Oscar told us that the first time was the worst and the second is better- it was very true! After that first drive, every other one was a breeze! He assured us it was safe even in rain and it was. Now about the property!! Absolutely breathtaking! I can’t imagine there is a better view in the area than the one we had. The infinity pool was refreshing and beautiful. Every morning we watched the toucans playing in the trees. The landscaping was meticulous and beautifully done. Inside the house we had everything we needed! The dishwasher was a bonus! The house was clean and tidy and had games and movies for the kids. A/C in the bedrooms also spilled over to the main space so it was always nice and cool inside. What a beautiful/comfortable space! We do hope to return one day! Thank you, Oscar for your help! He went above and beyond booking a whale watching trip and also helping us make a dinner reservation at Gusto’s (highly recommend). Pura Vida!

A wonderful house, spectacular view!
We spent 5 days at Olas Azul with a family of 4. The house can not be better: fully equipped with everyhting you can ask for, super-well climatized and with all the privacy you can ask for. The view across the forest and the ocean is breathtaking. We even spent a few days in the house and pool only without driving down. Be aware that you need a 4-wheel drive and a bit of patience and getting here from the main road - but you will be rewarded ten times over.

CASA TOUCAN
The property was clean and well maintained and had an incredible view. It should be called Casa Toucan as we had daily visitors of as many as 12 Toucans simultaneously in the trees around the pool... the only downside was the long drive (18 minutes or so from the Coast Highway) up a mostly dirt and gravel road. But the view, the Toucans, the pool and the overall condition of the property made it worth the drive. We give it 5 stars!

Excellent family vacation
Wonderful home to spend a week in. Great views every morning and waking up to the sound of howler monkeys. So many birds and coatis around. The house sits high up on a mountaintop, about 30 mins from uvita or dominical, but there are 2 great places for food only 12 minutes away, scala and sibu. We are at both multiple times and the food is excellent, highly recommend. The house was equip with everything we needed and communication with the property manager was excellent. Would certainly stay here again!

I recently had the privilege of staying at this magnificent house nestled amidst the lush greenery of Costa Rica's mesmerizing mountains. Just a 25-minute drive up the mountainside, this secluded oasis offered an unparalleled escape from the bustle of everyday life. From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the symphony of nature that surrounded me. Perched on a hill, the house boasted breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The first thing that caught my eye was the sparkling pool, glistening under the tropical sun. It provided the perfect spot to cool off after a long day of exploration or simply to laze around, soaking up the stunning vistas. One of the highlights of my stay was the vibrant wildlife that visited the property. As I sat on the terrace, I was treated to an orchestra of sounds from the feathered residents of the jungle. Toucans gracefully glided from tree to tree, their colorful beaks a sight to behold. Howler monkeys, with their distinctive calls, could be heard in the distance, adding to the enchantment of the place. I even had the pleasure of encountering jungle chickens, their vibrant plumage adding a touch of whimsy to the surroundings. The house itself was a haven of comfort and elegance. The open design allowed for a seamless integration with nature, as if the boundaries between indoors and outdoors had merged.
