My wife and I stayed for a full month in the Gladwin House. It was truly a home away from home for us. It was a great launching point for us as we explored the Kitsap Peninsula and beyond. We visited in the fall, so although we really enjoyed the views from the house, we didn't spend any time on the water. It was just the two of us, and the space the house offered was ample for our needs. We loved having a room that worked great as a remote office. Internet was stable and sufficient to join Zoom calls in the office while streaming video. The home was a bit nostalgic for me. It reminded me of my grandmother's home which was also a little older with vintage but serviceable kitchen appliances, and it had everything we needed for our stay (including plenty of blankets and towels). We loved having two tables to use, doing many puzzles and games during our stay, and we loved using the fireplace, fire pit, and hot tub as well. We also got to enjoy some figs, grapes, and pears from outside just before they stopped producing for the season. The only downside I noticed was the there is only a single bathroom, but the toilet and bathtub were in separate rooms which was helpful. Also, the upstairs ceilings are low and I often hit my head, and I had to crouch to use the shower due to the low ceiling in the bath tub as well (but full disclosure, I am 6'4" tall). If we are in the area again, we would definitely love to return!
