Perfect Lakeside Getaway for a 50th Anniversary Celebration
Lakeside Retreat was the perfect place for my parents’ 50th anniversary celebration. The home was much larger than expected, with plenty of space for everyone to relax. We made unforgettable memories, from cooking spaghetti dinners in the well-stocked kitchen (we especially appreciated the excellent cookware and spacious fridge!) to grilling burgers on the patio. The game room was a hit with the teenagers—it was their own private space with shuffleboard, air hockey, arcade games, ping pong, and Apple TV access, all in a heated room with comfy recliners.
The views of Great Pond were stunning, and the privacy made it feel like a true getaway. We spent evenings around the fire pit, enjoying the panoramic lake views through the screened bay doors, which had a cool automated open/close feature. The joint kitchen/living room area was perfect for family gatherings, and the surround sound system made movie nights a memorable experience.
I also appreciated the electronic guest book, which was such a nice touch—no paper clutter! Communication with Sean and Danni was seamless via the VRBO app, and they were quick to respond to any questions. While the retreat is wonderful, ADA access may be something to consider for guests who need it. Overall, this was an ideal spot to celebrate such a special occasion. We’ll cherish the memories for years to come. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, spacious, and well-appointed lakeside retreat!
