Trip with family

Main level of home has lots of space to gather and talk. All bedrooms and full bathrooms are upstairs. Sofabed available on main level along with half bath. Everything was as expected. Thank you.

Wedding weekend in Benton

We had family coming down from the St. Louis area for a wedding and we needed to be near the Saint Tierre wedding venue. We found a great home that would accommodate a family of 5 as well as the grandparents and the groom the night before the big event. The house is charming with a large kitchen, formal dining room, and enough room for everyone to have their own space. The back yard overlooks the beautiful Cypress Lake and there is a large deck with a fire pit. There are 4 bedrooms, all upstairs, which gives you a lot more room downstairs. Everything was very awesome.

Fourth trip

The only issues our group had was that the dock in the picture was not for us. We misunderstood Also, the toilets don’t flush very well. Overall, everything else was perfect and smooth, The host responded fast.

We had a great stay. Owner was great with communication and although we had some minor issues she was very helpful. House was furnished with the minimums. Would recommend to the next group staying with multiple people to bring plastic cups and paper plates for more than a few people.

Overpriced & poor condition

I am quite disappointed that I agreed to paid so much for this location. This property feels like an early 1980s college rental complete with obvious drywall patches, mismatched paints, shoddy millwork, stained ceilings, etc. Our daughter found a dead wasp in her bed sheets, making us wonder if they were even cleaned from the last guests. The yard and decks were a mess. There were piles of leaves across all outdoor living spaces, a broken basketball goal (literally a huge hole in the backboard and pole bent over the driveway), and even a broken (as in, severed in half) light post in the front lawn. We couldn’t even locate the property from the road at night. There were two only two trash bags and no dishwasher detergent. There was no dish soap or sponges/scouring pads, either. I'm not sure how we were expected to wash dishes, pots, or pans. The floors squeaked throughout the house. The baseboards and floors were worn and dirty. I’m really puzzled as to how one would price this at $295/night. For those curious, we rent in this area regularly. In fact, in the past two months, we rented at two locations similar to this within a few miles of this property. They were far better in presentation for 60% of the price. We are low maintenance guests, and negative reviews aren't the norm for us. However, this property was so far below standard, we don’t want anyone else to make this same mistake. Please rent elsewhere.

Thanksgiving week

This property is oversold online. You can’t fish from the backyard. Main reason we rented because 8 yr old grandson loves to fish. You couldn’t see out the back patio glass doors because they were so crusted with bugs! The plumbing in the house was not good! Upstairs bath leaked into downstairs bath & dining room. There was water stains on the ceilings. Lots of lightbulbs weren’t working. There was 1/2 rolls of toilet paper and paper towel. No soap (dish, dishwasher, bath, hand). The street was super busy and the house isn’t really in a neighborhood. By giving this property a 3 star rating, I’m being generous. This is the 1st time I’ve been unhappy with VRBO in the 14 years I’ve been using VRBO. The owner/property management needs to do some repairs to the house & update the listing.

Relaxing Country Living

Our family enjoyed the experience we had at this location. The property is close to convenient stores, groceries stores, gas stations, and not far from the Casinos. We enjoyed the backyard deck for relaxation, grilling amd enjoying our morning coffee. We also enjoyed fishing at the nearby Dam. This place was perfect for us to visit because my mom grew up in Benton. It was just like being back home.

Great location for families coming from three states to unite together. Beautiful homes next door to each other. Both homes have very nice patio to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. Good for fishing if you love to fish. Also we were there for the 4th of July and we enjoyed watching fireworks on cypress lake. Everyone really enjoyed the three day outing and we will be back. Kosha responds quickly to any text messages. Thank you Kosha for your great hospitality.

The stay was absolutely what we had hoped for.

The property was definitely as advertised. WE enjoyed ourselves with family. One piece of advise that I'd add is that the towels need to be upgraded and additional bedding is needed. I bought towels for the kitchen and left them there for the property. Overall outstanding stay!

Great stay

The house and property were perfect for our purposes. My father in law passed away and we needed a place to relax after having to make all the necessary arrangements for him. The back patio allowed us to do that and the perfect scenery from the lake was just an add on to that. We were concerned about having to adjust the thermostat in the evening and in the middle of the night. The owner had the temp set at 67 degrees for the overnight and we would be freezing having to get up in the middle of the night and adjust to a 72 degrees. Otherwise we enjoy our stay

Family Stay

The property was not clean for having a cleaning fee. Also am concerned about the back deck. Several of us missed the step down on the two level deck. A different color on the upper level or a rail would help differentiate the two levels. If some end for jet mop would have been available, we would have mopped the kitchen floor before leaving.

No attention

Host had my check-in date wrong. Never sent me check-in detail and did not include it in the confirmation as typical. Didn't answer my attempts to contact for access to the property. VRBO finally made contact for me. Actually entered the home 3 hours after I was suppose to check-in. Doors and walls were soiled. internet password was incorrect. Trash can was overflowing and smelled. Very limited towels, etc. A nice home in a lovely location. Just poorly managed. Needs cleaning and attention to details.
