Family reunion

We had a wonderful family reunion. There were 14 of us ages, 9 to 95. My dad turned 95 this year and we wanted to do something special for him. The property was perfect! There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. The property was clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen with plenty of pots, pans and dishes. The outdoor patio with large table and grill was a plus! The salt water pool was everyone's favorite.Check-in was easy and Wi-Fi worked great.We had a couple of questions while we were there and our host Kristen and Jeff answered us quickly and were very nice. We would certainly stay here again!

Time in the Hill County

My Bunco group rented the home for a long weekend. The weather wasn’t the best but we were all able to enjoy the wonderful outdoor area. Having 3 full bathrooms was awesome! The kitchen table and two living areas were very adequate to support 12 people. Owners are super responsive to questions and concerns. We had a wonderful stay!

Girls weekend

We are a party of 10 college friends (73-75 yrs of age) who get together every year for reminiscing and catching up with each other. We really enjoy the Hill County since our college days were spent in San Antonio at Incarnate Word College. The Bergheim property was ideal being 1 story and various options for sleeping (2kings, 1 queen, 2 twins and 2 bunk beds). The back yard area was a great area to sit and visit. The common areas kitchen and living rooms were very comfortable. It was also large enough that we weren't on top of each other. I would definitely recommend the property.

Room for a large group

We traveled from Oklahoma for a birthday celebration with several women (13). The house was located just 15 minutes to great shopping and restaurants. Recommend this house for large groups at a reasonable price.

Great space for a group of friends or a big family

The location and the house was perfect for our family. The kids enjoyed the bunks and the playroom while the adults enjoyed the main living room. There was plenty of space to roam about in the yard and the pool was a perfect size for our group of 12. The pool was cold because the weather to a shift to colder overnight temps. However we were able to enjoy the patio. One morning we were lucky enough to see deer in the back yard. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of spices to choose from. Everything was very clean and I loved that the light switches were labeled showing which light it worked with. I would like to see the remotes labeled as well if possible. The host was very accommodating and when we had a question they were quick to respond. If you are looking for a great multi family space this is it.

Great for multiple families

This was the perfect house for our 3 families to stay together for a wedding weekend. The house is close to Park 31, where the wedding took place, and the house had ample space for all 9 of us. It could have even fit more! The hosts were quick to respond to any question we had which was appreciated. We do feel families should be aware that there is not a door which separates the bunk room from the living room/kitchen. Since bunk rooms are usually occupied by kids, this could pose an issue with getting littles to go to bed before adults who might want to hang out in the living room as we did.

Family gathering for Thanksgiving

Nice home, comfortable, has everything you need for the first couple of days, but you might need to shop if you are staying longer. You will not be able to control the thermostat, but texting the owner to change the temperature is not that difficult. The pool looked nice, but it was too cold to swim.

Beautiful quiet property! Loved the salt water pool & the split bedrooms were perfect for our group of four couples. Large den was great for movie night but most of our time was spent outdoors. Great patio area with grill & lots of seating. Close to Boerne which made quick grocery runs easy.

Great Host!

Overall, this was a great stay and excellent property for our girls retreat! Communication with the host was very good. Due to messy/bad guests who stayed before us, our check-in was delayed. However, the hosts were honest, straightforward, updated us regularly throughout the day, and very accommodating. Because of the delay and inability to use the pool on that first night, the host allowed us to check out late and stay all day. We had few complaints: the pool cleaning vacuum was annoying to deal with and we wished we could have removed it during pool use. Also, the extender pieces for the table weren’t easy to find and were very dirty. Other than that, it was an awesome stay and we would definitely consider it again for future retreats!
