"The cabin was adorable but I didn’t realize the two person cabin had no bathroom. We were at the top of the hill and had to drive downhill to the bath house. Would have been nice to have a bathroom at least near our cabin to use at night. Also it was a surprise for the $200 deposit to come out the day before our arrival in addition to what we paid. Everything was clean and nice other than that."

"The cabin is warm and inviting. All the supplies you need are provided…kitchen and dining ware, firewood, plenty of blankets. The area is very peaceful. All we heard was the sound of leaves rustling, birds chirping and the fireplace crackling. It’s a short walk to take in the beauty of the lake and surrounding trees."

Front door framed by beautiful lead crystal windows leads to roomy front porch for morning coffee, cuddling on the swing seat with a good book, comfortable chairs for gathering. We watched the full moon come over the hill glittering on the Ohio River both from the porch and a bench at the edge of the river bank. "Great weekend! We spent the day on the lake and then grilled steaks and made s’mores over a fire. Excellent family getaway! This house is clean, decorated nicely, good sized and in a good location. 👍👍👍 communication with owners is stellar. There was a golf cart to use, we took a little drive on it to a private beach close by."

"This was our first time staying at Mountaineer Casino. It was a nice experience. Had the wood fired pizza at Gatsby’s. Very good. The casino was very clean and did not have that smoky/stale beer smell. Good mix of older and newer machines. Had a little luck there as well. The restrooms actually had a pleasant smell, which is rare! The rooms are due for an update but couldn’t your own house use one too? Staff was nice as well. Will return !! "
