"The pictures do not do this property justice. We have stayed at water's edge several times, and every time we go there have been more improvements made. This house has absolutely everything you could ever ask for. We had a large party of 16 and there was plenty of space in the house for all of us. Our favorite place to hang out was in the huge open concept kitchen / living room area, as well as the decks that overlook the river. My four-year-old son loved watching the trains go by. "The house looks just like the photos. Everything was neat and clean and the property was perfect for our young children. They loved the bunk beds and playing in the pond and we even had a chance to play with the fireflies all around the yard on our last night. If we ever came up this way again, we’d definitely book with this property."

"Where do I begin describing how perfect the lake house is? The views, the house, the deck (equipped with a private hot tub), the riverfront property, bird watching, and the overall serenity of the house is difficult to even put into words. We came as a family of 10 of all ages ranging from 91-4, and we all kept busy and found many things to entertain us that we absolutely loved. Just bring your bug spray and a good book… surely you will not regret coming to the lake house for a peaceful retreat."

"Three generations from PA, CO and VT all converged on the "Top of the Chesapeake" and had a lovely time. This is a stellar place for bird watching since it's between a creek and the upper Bay ("river".) Kayaks were a hit with 12 year olds and their parents. The owner's very reasonable rules and guidelines were so easy and he was available for help. Highly recommend this place!"

"I liked the bed, the pillows and the bedding set, it is a quiet room, so I had very good sleep. The shower had a strong pressure which we liked too. But the property needs to be updated, and the cleaning procedures are poor. The floor was dirty and there was a lot of mildew in the shower in different places.
