"The home was more beautiful than described. The view of the lake was spectactular. Enjoyed seeing so much wildlife from waterfowl, eagles, songbirds to deer from the cozy and warm den. Very private but meeting an occasional neighbor walking their dog was nice too. For those looking for a summer vacation this home would be perfect as well. I came to attend the Tennessee Sandhill Crane Festival which was great. "

Our first impression wasn’t great- the host didn’t respond to any communication until check in time, though communication was excellent during the stay. When we arrived, it was after dark. "We had a big group of adults with cars on a climbing trip - this property was big enough to be comfy for all of us, plenty of space and 4 bathrooms so no fighting over showers, lots of parking. There's only 1 key so we had to do a bit of negotiation when we went separate ways during the day, but that was minor. Overall we loved this spot and would stay again."

"Three brothers and two wives met at the Lake House for the Sand Hill Crane Festival in Birchwood. First, the festival was so interesting and fun and a must do if you like birds. Second, the cabin was fabulous! It was a cold weekend but the fireplace kept us cozy. The bedrooms were very comfortable; the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and utensils; the view of the dock and lake were fabulous. "When we checked in the code did not work and we had to use the phsycal located in a dark backyard area of the property. The heater and air didn't work, there were only two blankets for 6 beds the smoke detectors were destroyed and the entire hme reeked of marijuana smoke. "It was incredible From the moment we walked in! Great communication, clear easy instructions! The house was even MORE beautiful than the pictures, usually people take pictures to help the look of the house, but this was even nicer and more spacious than we weee expecting!!They had snacks and EVERYTHING we could’ve needed!!
