Great Respite!
My husband and I were moving from Oregon to Ohio and needed a respite and some nature between our long driving days. This place was beautiful and very clean. The owners of the property were very nice and accommodating and very responsive when we had questions and/or needs. We had a lot of fun Just FYI, not a complaint. The only spices are salt and pepper. There are no cooking oils, nor are there things like Saran Wrap, foil, etc. You will need to bring those.

Great stay!
The cabin was clean and was very roomy! Beautiful fall views and perfect for a little get away, can’t wait to come back in the summer to utilize the lake more! Host was responsive and extremely nice!

Great Hideaway
Beautiful scenery and such a quiet little area. Went during the week days and i believe there might have been another couple staying there at a different cabin but never saw or heard them. The place had everything we needed, the hot tub was my high light after bouncing around in side by side all day. Would recommend to anyone and the hosts were super sweet. Thanks guys.

Perfect getaway
The Cottages on Serenity Lake were perfect for our family! Bear’s Den is a rustic looking cabin with all the modern amenities. We enjoyed the wooded privacy it has to offer along with the lake right at our back door. The hot tub was definitely a bonus as well as the fire pit. Brian was extremely accommodating. He took time out of his day, not only to explain to us, but actually guide us to some local fishing holes. Although it turned out that the best fishing was right out the back door. This cottage is highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing, peaceful getaway!

Wedding weekend
We loved the quiet atmosphere of the large property and clean cabin. Granddaughters had a wonderful time and slept very well. Cabin is well laid out with the bedrooms apart from each other and the bathroom in between. There is complete privacy so you can walk outside and sit on the deck in your jammies.

Cabin was very clean. Beds comfy. Had most amenities we needed. AC worked well. Hot tub was a nice feature to have. Beach area looked different than pictured but still nice. I would not recommend kayaking as the lake is very small. The walking trail was over grown and one of the guests got into poison ivy. Check in/out princess was very easy. Lots of religious reading material at the cabin which almost seemed pushy for a VRBO that will get guests from all different beliefs and backgrounds so if that’s not your thing than maybe pick somewhere else. Otherwise the cabin was nice and secluded for our trip.

Our Stay
The home was very clean. The WIFI device was dated, has some slow connections at times. The beach area was perfect for us, fishing and just hanging out. The only bad thing was a neighboring rental had dogs that barked every evening for a couple of hours, consistently, and the owners yelling at their dogs made it even worse. Otherwise, our stay was very nice. Would recommend.
