Not a cold winter house
We are Midwesterners by nature and used to cold weather. We’ve also lived in the mountains of North Carolina for several years. This home is exceptionally drafty, the only place to eat at the kitchen table is in a sunroom, which in the summer is probably beautiful, but does not have any heat and is frigid. The furnace cannot keep up. It would not keep the house at 69 and the only way the house would warm up is to continually use the gas fireplace. Each room has its own wall furnace, even this could not keep up with cold weather due to drafts. A lovely cosmetic renovation, nice hottub, and heat fan in upstairs bath. Yet very poorly insulated and drafty. probably a wonderful rental for spring summer and fall.

First trip to the mountains
Property was great, hot tub, fire pit. Loved Blowing Rock, Boone, the Biltmore and Grandather Mountain.The communication with the rental company during and after the Hurricane was awesome. They answered every question and checked the property and were very responsive.

Great stay in a cozy, convenient cabin!
We had a great day for a girls trip. The cabin was decorated very cute and was very convenient to downtown blowing rock everywhere that we need to be. The cabin was also very well equipped. We didn’t use the hot tub, but it looked very warm.

If you love a musty smell… this place is for you!!
First of all, I never write a review but after staying here this past weekend, i feel like future customers should know what it’s like at this house. The upstairs shower didn’t drain properly, there were cracker crumbs in the sliding door frame, the steps leading downstairs were steep and had to worry about my little kids falling down the stairs. We did find a gate to put up but still didn’t feel safe. Also, walking downstairs to the dungeon, you get an overpower musty smell! It was horrible! It made me gag every time i walked downstairs. I tried to avoid going down stairs but my kids and i were sleeping down there. The downstairs bathroom was DIsGUSTING!! The toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, hairs all over the floor.. I personally cleaned the toiliers and my mom swept the floors. I would not stay at this property ever again!

House near Blowing Rock
Long weekend. App State grad coming up for visit. Wanted to show friends the area and enjoy The B Rock. Place was great & was, if needed, a walk from downtown. Been heading to Boone are for decades and this was as good a place as I have stayed in. Perfect for 2 or maybe 3 couples.

Wonderful cottage!
We really enjoyed our stay there. The furniture was comfortable and the decor was well done! Kitchen was well appointed and the bathrooms were really nice. Our only minor complaint was that the downstairs had a bit of a musty smell. We used the outdoor spaces like fire pit area for happy hour (we didn’t use the fire pit or the hot tub) and spent time on the front porch often.

Great “Cozy” Home in Blowing Rock
My siblings and I took our elderly parents on a four day trip to Blowing Rock. This house was perfect for our needs. It was updated and my mom kept mentioning how lovely the decor was. Having the parking a main floor all level was great for our dad’s mobility. We had a deer visit each day. This is about 3 minutes from The Blowing Rock” and also the town. Love the gorgeous landscaping all around town. Hope to go back.

Very nice rental
Enjoyed our stay. Cabin was very nice, clean, and comfortable. As others have mentioned, it is a short drive to the main shopping area in town and very close to Boone. Would definitely stay again.

Our family loved staying at this cottage in Blowing Rock. Clean, nicely decorated, with a great space to spread out or gather together. The hot tub was wonderful, clean and easy to use. Was a little too chilly and windy this time to use the fire pit area, so that just means we will need to go back soon! Jo

Great stay
Location is perfect if you’re looking for quick access to Tweetsie, App Ski Resort and dining/shopping. Easy to get in and out, clean property, cute little backyard for kids to play, hot tub was lovely, quiet street and great beds. We’ll be back!

Great graduation house for friends and family
We came for our daughter’s APP grad… total of 5 stayed with plenty of room for more. Great location, near all the best of blowing rock. The hot tub and deck were a nice bonus. Kitchen was missing a few minor things (measuring cup, cutting board, etc) but overall well stocked. Some bedroom doors did not close fully or lock. One major concern was the drop off at the top of the (steep downward) stairs. There is a space bw the banister and the top of the steps that could be dangerous. Otherwise it was great home!! Plenty of parking. Expertly decorated. Great value for price.

Enjoyable Stay
The property was clean and well maintained. BUT, it is NOT within walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock for older adults. We had to drive to Main Street downtown. None the less, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood was quiet and check-in was easy! The house was very clean and well maintained. We loved the back decks! We hope to rent this property again!

Great fall getaway
Loved the decor , layout and amenities. Easy parking and road access. Close to town. Great yard with wonderful hot tub and fire pit! Would recommend sink sprayer get fixed, vent at stove work better ( got Smokey each night cooking) lower the microwave a bit upstairs bed is a bit firm ( maybe a foam topper?) and tp/pt are pretty cheap quality. Overall really spectacular and comfortable and upgraded so well! Friends and I would very much enjoy coming back again.

Beautiful place and close to everything
This home is nestled up on a small ridge and is very tastefully decorated with modern accents and accessories. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. The neighborhood is older but very well maintained. Very quiet street out front. The hot tub was ready for us and the burn pit area was a lovely touch for more outdoor fun. My in laws and adult children will definitely be back again next year. This place was perfect, just needed more towels. They provide towels of very nice quality, but women tend to use two towels and one towel per person was not enough and I use a clean wash cloth every time I shower, so extra wash cloths would be better. I did have to wash towels every single day. If you are staying one night that’s plenty, but if you stay more than one night bring extra towels. Again, we will be back, the towels is small potatoes and didn’t affect our opinion of this lovely place or it’s courteous management.

Short ski weekend
We stayed in blowing rock, this cabin is a small home that was renovated, and they did a beautiful job. It was very cozy, very beautiful and comfortable. Super close to the town of blowing rock with all the restaurants and the local Food Lion. Only a 5 to 7 minute drive from Appalachian ski Mountain. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
