What a great location! We walked EVERYWHERE from our place. No need to drive and find parking-it was perfect! The house was impeccably clean and tidy, while being nicely updated. The beds were incredibly comfortable and they used nice sheets-always a bonus! The photos don't do it justice as it's larger than it appears. If you're light sleepers like us, definitely bring a sound machine and/or earplugs as the house is very close to the road. I appreciated the small touches of providing plastic containers so we could more easily pack lunch/snacks and bring with us for the day. They also have coffee there for you, but bring your own if you're particular. Quick replies to our questions from the hosts. Highly recommend!

Perfect little place

My husband and I came for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. It's a perfectly sized home for two people, with everything up to date, well equipped. The magic is how close it is to town without being noisy - we went out for almost all meals, but the kitchen was well equipped and we cooked one night and could have done more. Easy check-in, good communication, no problems at all. My only suggestion would be to get a real drip coffee-maker. The house has a Keurig only, and because that just doesn't cut it for us, we brought our own.

Our two night stay at the Mighty Red Oak was exactly the late fall getaway my husband and I needed. The parking is near the property, abundant, and well lit at night. The shopping area of Boothbay Harbor is a quick walk or ride down the hill to many boutiques, the waterfront, restaurants, and, to our surprise, a gingerbread house competition in the Opera House! This property may not be the right fit for you if you need accessibility. The parking is a one and a half story stair climb to the front door. The entryway on the other side has a six inch step up to the front door. The kitchen area is a four-inch step up, and the wall dividing off the main bedroom and the bathroom would be inaccessible for a wheelchair. Ultimately, I think the majority of people will appreciate the multiple climate control areas in this apartment. We were able to cook dinner and breakfast in the open kitchen. We enjoyed lounging on the sofa together under the provided cozy fleece blankets. This may have been our first stay, but will not be our last!

Second year, still great

Everything you need, nothing you don't. Located within walking distance of Boothbay Harbor downtown. We did a lot of day tripping to other coastal towns. This is our second year at this location. Great time.

Great location, needs more attention to detail

The house met its description and was generally clean and comfortable with one big exception - it seems like it had been a while since the last guests had stay there since we were greeted at check-in with a vase of dead, moldy flowers on the kitchen counter and spiders in almost every corner of the house. My kids freaked out about the spiders, so I made a trip to a local store and bought some Raid, then went on an epic spider-slaying quest and counted 18 victories before the kids would even consider stepping back inside. My only other complaint is that the front door is not straightforward to lock. When inside the house it is hard to know if the electronic lock is actually engaged, and the deadbolt is purely decorative. On our second day, we had an unexpected visitor who claimed they had a reservation. Whether they had a working code or just waltzed in because the door wasn't locked properly remains a mystery. All that being said, we were generally comfortable once all the spiders were killed, and the location is excellent and very close to all that Boothbay Harbor offers.

5 star stay

We had a great time in boothbay harbor and loved staying at this place. It was in a perfect location, the size was perfect, and the place had everything we needed and then some. The coffee maker made iced coffee, there was filtered water, and even puzzles to do while we were there. It was hard to leave and we made the best memories in boothbay.

Boothbay by the Harbor

The unit was very clean and comfortable. We especially liked how close it was to the harbor, shops and dining. One day of our stay was rainy and we were able to enjoy our spacious accommodation as we passed the time reading and catching up on shows.

Location, location, location.

About as close as you can get to downtown without being on main street. Very clean and well appointed. Suggestions: the scented trash bags gave spouse a headache. Cushions would have been nice for that beautiful outdoor patio/awning.

Beautiful Home

The house was spotless and comfortable. A great location for walking to many areas, however the rain during our stay didn't allow us to do as much as we hoped. Everything was fresh and new, we would definitely stay again. Unfortunately we had an emergency at home and had to leave suddenly a day early.

Wonderful vacation

Boothbay Harbor was a beautiful place to visit, with lots of good food and plenty of activities to do. The cottage was very clean, furnished with everything we needed and just a short walk to the harbor. Parking was easy, right at the house which was a plus since it gets very busy during the day. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning in the future! Highly recommend this rental!

Perfect getaway

Wonderful Windjammer Retreat

This cottage was perfect for our stay during the Windjammer Festival. The cottage is tastefully decorated, super clean, and a short walk to the plethora of shops and dining options. We used the private parking located just below this unit because Oak Street (aka Route 27) can be very busy during the day and not that wide. We used the on-street parking for loading and unloading only. The stairs leading down to the parking area could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. As noted by others, this a quiet neighborhood and the road noise quiets down in the evening and picks up again early morning. Neither of which were an issue for us. Sally is a great host, check in and check out was a breeze, and she responded quickly to any questions. We highly recommend staying here (as well as a visit to the nearby Coastal Botanical Gardens).

Fall week get away in Boothbay Harbor

The place had been recently fully updated and completely met and exceeded our needs. Very nice neighborhood with great access to the village businesses and the harbor foot bridge. We highly recommend Lindsey's place for couples on a get away.

Walkable, central location

We had a great stay and loved the walkability of the location. Nice sized apartment with great deck space. It is on a busy road so with a toddler we were extra wary, but the host had gates up around the deck to help. Overall enjoyed our stay and couldn’t beat the location!

Perfect getaway bungalow close to harbor

Great choice for a 3 day trip to explore Boothbay Harbor. Location is super convenient to walk all around the harbor. The owner was very easy to work with and communication was easy and timely. The unit itself is brand new, sparkling clean and comfortable. The front bedroom was closer to the road and you could hear some traffic in the early am but it didn’t wake up my son. Would stay here again!

Comfortable New Spot A Short Walk from Harbor

This is a spacious and comfortable new spot within walking distance of downtown. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and comfortable couch for relaxing after a day out exploring. A great home base for a long weekend in Boothbay Harbor!

Wonderful!

Well appointed home in a fantastic location! Right in the middle of town but tucked away just enough for quiet retreat! Lindsey was a great host who was responsive and thoughtful. Lots of small details made this beautiful home a great place to stay for our family.
