"The house was beautifully situated with incredible views and comfortable furnishings. It was perfect for our group of 6 —a mix of family and friends—as we explored Iceland for the first time. We loved getting to know Borgarnes and the Settlement Center. The drive to Reykjavík was a little longer than we expected but it wasn’t prohibitive for our plans. "Wonderful location just 45 minutes from Reykjavic. It is certainly out in the countryside, but it was nice and quiet. 20 mins to a grocery store and the kitchen was equipped enough for our breakfasts we made at home before heading out for the day. Very clean, and the hot tub was great. No issues whatsoever. "

"Beautiful home in a beautiful location. The house is not large, but is very open and comfortable and our party of six enjoyed our stay very much. The beds and linens are very comfortable. We very much appreciated the detailed and thoughtful binder with recommendations for what to do nearby. The location allowed us easy access to both Reykjavík and Snæfellsnes Penninsula, and Borgarnes itself was charming and has many amenities. "

"We loved our stay - right in the water! Views were amazing, kitchen was well stocked and the rooms comfortable. There are only 3 bedrooms though - but plenty of beds. We had one upset teen who had to sleep in the family room which was a bummer. But the house is nice and the private guest house was a great quiet space. "

"Muy limpia y muy bien situada. Tiene 2 habitaciones y una buhardilla en la parte superior: algo peligrosa para niños pequeños, pero divertida para niños a partir de los 8/9 años. Muy luminosa, buenas vistas y completamente equipada. El jakuzzi está fenomenal, no es de agua geotérmica (a mi me hubiera gustado mas, pero como digo es cuestión de gustos) y estaba muy limpio. El entorno invita a un paseo por el río truchero. Un poco justa para 6. Gracias a los anfritriones!!"

"The cabin lives up to its name as it is very cozy and the views are spectacular. We had northern light shows both nights we stayed there and loved the sauna to warm up after a cold day on the glacier not too far from the cabin. The owner communicated very well and check in and out was very easy. We loved that the cabin is off the beaten path but also a 20 minute drive to restaurants and shops in Borgarnes. We would definitely stay here when we visit Iceland again. "
