3 couples stayed for three nights over Memorial Day weekend. In general, gorgeous views lakefront, but the condition was very disappointing. The general improvements were circa midnight 1980s and frankly, some of the furniture in the living room was stained or just showing 40 years of wear and tear. The third queen size bedroom they advertise on the first floor access is through a 2 foot wide door with a very, very awkward spiral staircase into the first floor or basement, clearly an add-on. Lastly, if you have a boat, you can’t use their dock because the stairs the dock and about 10 feet above the water due to damage to their waterfront. So you’d either have to get permission from adjoining dock owners to dock your boat or park in the marina. Lastly we had three couples three separate schedules so we drove three cars. The place only allows two cars and Oak Shores requires the third car to park 2 1/2 miles away and a campground. That whole process is really inconvenient. Property managers did what they could and were responsive . Generally disappointing.
