Our new vacation spot
We were excited for our north cabin stay however we didn’t know we were going to fall in love with the location and cabin and amenities. Everything was exactly what we needed and Ron was fantastic to communicate with. We look forward to coming back year after year.

Girls Trip 2024
We came to Brainerd for a girls trip, this cabin was perfect for our group! Well kept and cozy right on the lake! Only a few miles from Nisswa and Brainerd which made it easy to get out and explore the area. Thank you for helping make our trip great!

Amazing Mini Moon Spot
My wife and I stayed here in the late fall for a quick getaway after our wedding. This property is amazing. Very well-kept and clean. We will definitely be booking another stay at Gladstone Haven!

Lakeside retreat
Lovely week at this lakeside cabin. We enjoyed just relaxing at the cabin, time on the dock and in the lake. Good hiking at Northland Arboretum in Baxter, Crow Wing SP and Father Hennepin SP. Also walked along the road daily with our little dog. Thank you Ron and Jodi.

Easy to relax
What a wonderful location! The lake is so peaceful. The cabin was well-appointed and felt roomy for the 4 of us. Ron was great to work with, and we hope to get up there again!

Great location
We stayed at Ron's cabin for a week with our teenager and a dog. The cabin is updated and had all of the things mentioned. The weather was perfect, the water was clear, the lake is a shallower lake (max. depth 25 ft) with some weeds, it is in a very quiet area where you can walk on the road with minimal cars going by. The public boat dock was very close, and we could use Ron's dock to tie our boat up. Nisswa was a short 5-10 min. drive if you wanted to go into town. It was easy to communicate with Ron as his home is also on the property. We would stay again.

Luv this place. Highly recommend!! Great place for a family weekend getaway. Pontoon was super clean. The water was clear and the host was great at communication. Definitely will be coming back next year!!!

Infested
Do not stay here!! This play is infested with Asian lady beetles. They are everywhere (literally hundreds), bite and will stain your belongings. The owner was communicative prior to us arriving. Once we let him know about the issue he never responded. We stayed for literally 1 hour then had to leave because of how bad the issue was. We left in the middle of the night during a storm. Vrbo has not issued us a refund either.

Very Cold
The property was neat and clean and on a beautiful lake in the owners back yard. The heater was not working and it was cold. The owner brought a space heater it just didn’t reach all the rooms. It was very cold and my 85 year old mother was uncomfortable and unhappy. It was late at night so we didn’t feel right asking for more help. My mom wanted to go home in the morning. The owner felt he could have fixed the situation, but my mom was already frozen and he would need a space heater in every room. We asked for some reimbursement for the second night. The listing said heat and I believe he knew it was broken when we booked, but the owner didn’t answer our message. That feels very unfriendly. It was my mom’s first time out, in many years, after healing from a brain tumor. It was just a bummer.

The Perfect Getaway
We had the best time at this beautiful cabin! Fishing, bonfires and relaxing made for the most amazing trip. Cabin is clean and cozy. Ron is a wonderful host and his son was so nice. We booked our next stay before we were finished with the first. We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful property in the Brainerd/Nisswa area. Very quiet spot with everything you could need. Convenient location to get into town while also feeling like you're out of the busy areas. Great yard and access to the lake.

Cozy Cabin
Beautiful, cozy cabin directly on the lake. Cabin seems new and was very clean. Fishing was great off the dock (bass and bluegill). Owner very friendly and accommodating. Kayaks, canoes and paddle boards also included with cabin rental.

Cozy cabin right on the lake
Wonderful place for a 3 day getaway. Nice view of the lake from the living room. We enjoyed fishing from our kayaks on this clear lake. Saw loons, trumpeter swans, geese, eagles and caught some nice fish. Ron is a great host and very accommodating. Easy drive into town for shopping and restaurants.
