The house worked out fine for my group. There was a broken bed rail in the room right next to the living room. I did not see this in the description. The floor covering is about to come up in the entrance by the garage from what appears to be wear and tear and possible some previous flooding. I thought the kitchen was really underequipped. There were not enough plates for us to serve 6. I did not want to use the dishes in the cabinet that appeared to be some type of china. Pot and pans were limited. Basic glasses, water glasses did not exist. Spending $30.00 for dished at a thrift store could really help this place.
There was a hodge podge of glasses, not really any big enough to call an ice tea glass. I thought there were not enough trash bags in the kitchen.
Toilet paper we did find near the washer, but did no see any extra in the back bathroom.
I liked the VCT flooring where you could sweep up, however, the flooring is in very poor condition. It worked fine for my group.
The a/c in the main part of the house did not keep up very well. It seemed a little warm during the day. The large bedroom a/c worked very well, even on the lowest setting.
I think the beds were ok, I did not have any complaints except for the one with the broken rail. I did pull the cover back and take a picture within an hour of arrival.
To me it appeared that this house had water in it at one time. I am a contractor and could see the cabinets in the master bath appeared to be delaminating on the bottom at the make up table. This did not affect my stay, the cabinets just appear worn and could use an update.
For my group this house was just a place to catch a quick bite and spend the night, our days were spent away from the home. We did not find the furniture in the living room comfortable to sit in, however, I know this is a rental and for cleaning purposes, I understand that you have to keep furniture that can be cleaned on a regular basis.
Overall the house worked fine for my group and I would stay there again when in town because the price was right. I would just bring more supplies.
I was disappointed that the house has no outdoor grill with the open flame policy. And did cover this before staying there. It would have been great to have a grill located away from the house, maybe cemented in the ground so it could not be moved?
