Great for 4th of July!
Awesome spot. Loved the kayaks and the calm bay. Neighbors were super friendly. Easy walk to the Marina- my kids loved the sandwiches, ice cream and penny candy there. Apparently July 4 is the owners birthday so there was even birthday cake! Owner was super responsive - messaging quickly on the VRBO app. House is full of light and very relaxing. Great little view of water and boats across the street. We didn’t cook much but looked like plenty of pantry items and pans. Enjoyed wine and snacks upon arrival! We had a little snafu with not having very many clean towels and finding sheets for one bed- owner explained they were trying out new cleaners. Highly recommend!

Parent's Trip to Maine
The owner made my parents 52 anniversary extra special by leaving flowers, champagne, charcuterie, etc! They really enjoyed having a kitchen with the basics supplied. It was a great stay!

Amazing Stay
Our stay at Amy's place could not have veen more perfect. Maine is my family's summer getaway and this was our first time staying on Mere Point. We booked very last-minute and from booking to check-out, Amy was probably the best host we've ever had. We were greeted by a bottle of wine and the kids were very excited to see snacks waiting for them upon our arrival. At first, I was a little worried that we were not right on the water, but the view from the house is still beautiful and it's only a short walk down to the bay. We had our morning coffee on the front deck as well as evening cocktails. The faint sound of seagulls, tide rising, and the wind blowing in the trees was so calming. Inside, the view from the kitchen is just as beautiful with lots of big windows. We had everything we needed to cook and enjoy a meal "at home". The beds were very comfortable and we slept well the entire visit. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Weekend Getaway
This was the perfect home for our weekend getaway. Amy is an amazing host and thought of everything for an enjoyable stay. The home was very clean and very well appointed down to the games for a rainy evening. Located near Freeport and New Brunswick we had plenty of options for shopping and restaurants. A boat launch near by made it easy to launch our kayaks for some island camping. We will definitely be back!!

Wonderful Short Visit
Our first visit to the Mere Point area and so glad we were able to enjoy it at this property. The host goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The kitchen is well stocked with what you need, including welcoming snacks and some basics to avoid the need to find a store immediately. The weather was beautiful for our stay, and we made good use of the comfortable deck. Would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing Maine coast stay.

Maine get-away
The house is well-equipped for a relaxing stay by the water. We enjoyed a week there with our children, although we spent a lot of time touring the area with nearby family and not a considerable amount at the cottage itself. Our children enjoyed using the kayaks. Hosts were very responsive to any questions or concerns.

Ideal Vacation
We had the most amazing week staying on Merepoint! Amy had thought of everything - food staples, beach towels, extra toilet paper and paper towels, and even rainy day activities. We enjoyed walking to Paul's Marina for the penny candy, ice cream and lobster, and our kids loved biking on the dead-end, quiet street (and we were grateful to use their 2 adult bikes provided). We loved the house and it truly was the perfect place for our family of 5. Thank you Amy and family!

Deck and dock
Perched up high behind a first row of houses, this spacious front deck allows a water view of the harbor below. The great room is so spacious, gracious, and relaxing; the kitchen is so generously stocked that meal prep is relaxing, too: high-quality pans, gas stove (watch for the extra heat of butane, if you’re accustomed to natural gas) and Amy is the most marvelous host, seeming to delight in supplying a set of spices, a staple here, a recommendation there. We didn’t end up using the kayaks because of time & tides, but the water access and the short walk to the local marina made us feel like we had. Blissful and relaxing. Thanks so much!
