Curious if perhaps the cabin was not prepped for fall visitors as there were concerning conditions. LOTS of cobwebs in primary bedroom around light and fire alarm. Dangling dead spider in kitchen area and heavy cobwebs in high living room windows. Some webs upstairs bedroom. The biggest concern was the mouse droppings in the bottom drawer below oven and the primary closet. We washed all dishes by hand and stored in dishwasher or drainer. Drying off after showering, a sour musty smell was released from the towels. Knowing mice had been present, we suspected the worse. So, we washed all towels/cloths as well. Some overhead lighting dim and several lightbulbs out. We rotated bulbs where we needed light in lamps. We contacted property manager regarding non lighting fireplace and it was repaired over two days but the grate was left out in between the days and a person tripped over it coming into the house. We did alert of webs and droppings. Know how to use a French Press unless you have K-cups for a Keurig. The Keurig had retained water in the tank so we would not have used it regardless, considering the state of the cabin. No pantry space for food as all small closets near kitchen are locked. So, that makes for clutter. Bring spare trash bags. The cabin has a nice layout, very nice fire pit and safety features for small children. Beautiful drive from Franklin to the cabin which is in a farm neighborhood as listed. Great potential spot, but fell short on our trip.
