"Booked this hotel out of necessity because we wanted to do the bioluminescence tour in Castine (also highly recommend) and the Bucksport Inn just happened to be conveniently located. So glad we did! First, the service was exceptional. They called us the morning of our reservation to inform us that the TV in our room was broken, but to offer a different type of room (2 queens vs a king). The bed was comfortable, bathrooms were clean, and kitchen had ample supplies, including nice touches such as kitchen basic herbs/spices. Proximity to groceries, restaurants and delicious seafood takeout was ideal. Walking distance to the habor walking path was really enjoyable. We would choose this location again."
