Excellent stay !
We had a lovely stay in Thurlibeer House. It was perfect for the whole family, 12 of us in total, lots of space and bedrooms upstairs and downstairs for all. Host was on site if needed but left us to it. Beautiful outdoor space. Would certainly visit again.

Perfect space for 14
Cheaper than most and fractionally dated in its decor but thats reflected in the price. Great value for money. Located so closely to Bude. The perfect base to come backbto each day in a quiet location. The main road is noisy but you font hear it from inside the property. Views from the back garden a beautiful (yes you can see the sea). Check in and out was super smooth too. No real bad points.

accessible and friendly hosts, large house but dated, Not as clean as possible, cobwebs on lights in kitchen, dust etc behind sofas, and some light switches not working ( but taped off and highlighted by hosts), but nothing that distracted from an enjoyable holiday for the whole family, would book again.

Absolutely a must stay!
I could not believe my fortune to find this absolutely fabulous property and for the owners to work with my with many delays due to Covid. Had great parking for our little van/mini-bus which is a big thing sometimes. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us to spread out have have some privacy after smaller accommodations. The owner brought us over fresh herbs and wild garlic along with homemade apple juice which was a bit hit with my ladies. There was nothing I could say negative about this place. The kitchen was well appointed with everything I might need for cooking great meals. Just overall an absolutely one of a kind place and great for larger groups!

Great Bude based family home
This was our second stay at this property and it is one of our extended family's favourite holiday home. It is a very large and well equipped house with a large private garden with views towards Widemouth bay. Exiting the property onto the busy main road into Bude is a bit of a challenge as visibility is limited

Excellent property. Set up for large family groups. Only a short trip to the beaches of Bude.
Host was very quick to reply to our calls. That said we didn't need him to do much. Overall, the stay was very enjoyable and we liked the property.

Good property in a lovely location
We stayed for 2 nights to attend a family wedding. The property was ideal as a base and had plenty of space. The only downside was that the beds were a little softer than we are used to and workmen started work on a new building right outside before 8am using very noisy diggers so not great if we were looking for a relaxing break.

Unfortunately no outside seating
Everything was fine but unfortunately there was no outside seating whatsoever apart from two hard benches. This was disappointing as my husband wasn’t very well and would have liked to relax in the garden.

Perfect for a family holiday
Thorlibeer is a magnificent find. I was looking for a property not too far from Bude that could accommodate a big extended family and this property delivers. There was plenty of space and good facilities. We could play pool and fussball to our hearts content. A great garden to run around in and it even has a little climbing frame. There is great facilities including washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. The hosts we exceptional and provided fresh apple juice and fresh cut herbs from the garden. They were friendly and welcoming and any questions and queries were resolved imminently. I strongly recommend this property to anyone looking to have a family holiday. It met our expectations and more. The tiniest of critics is there weren't enough sharp knives (or too many bread knives). But that is a small price for such a fabulous property. Thank you.

Thurlibeer House
Great house for a large family group; very, very spacious and plenty of kitchen equipment and seating. Wonderful view from the sunroom. Excellent location for the Bude area and good road links for visiting other parts of Cornwall and Devon. We enjoyed our family break very much.

Halloween at Thurlibeer
Amazing property, big enough for a large group of people and still space to relax and find some alone time. I think the electrics may need to looking at due to some of the plug sockets not working properly (this is probably because the house is an older house). Chris was always available for help when needed - we had a slight issue with there being no high chair for one of the younger member, but this was not the fault of Chris (unfortunately previous guests had broken it and he hadn't gotten around to replacing it). Beautiful views from the garden and rear of the property of the rolling hills and the ocean. Thank you for a wonderful stay at Thurlibeer House!

Good time had by all
Great property in great location. We had a little issue with the heating and hot water which was soon rectified by the owner of the property even though he was on holiday himself. Plenty of space for our family of 12 and would definitely consider staying there again.

Great family base
Thurlibeer house is a very spacious and well equipped property, well located with open countryside views towards the sea. There was plenty of room for our extended family of 13. We all enjoyed eating around the large dining table in the kitchen, playing pool and BBQs in the garden It's worth pointing out that exiting the drive onto the road is a challenge as there is fast moving traffic on the road with very little visability from the drive

Absolutely Phenomenal
I am absolutely blown away by Chris’ property. The house was spotless when we arrived and had everything and more you would expect from a rental house. Chris greeted us and was nothing but welcoming. The location was perfect and the drive was by far big enough to fit all our cars. The house itself was amazing, and the most our time was occupied by pool table, but all the rooms were spacious and the kitchen was enormous. Thank you so much!

More than what was expected.
Chris was there to greet us upon arrival and introduced us to the property. The property is in a great location with a sight to the see from the conservatory. The kids found plenty of playtime at the pool table and outside in the garden. Will certainly recommend.
