The cottage was quaint and cosy with comfortable furniture and everything anyone could need in terms of kitchen equipment, including an air-fryer, a slow cooker, a toaster, a microwave and a fridge-freezer. There was even sachets of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits and, on the dining table, sachets of ketchup, mayo, etc. The lovely owners had even put a bottle of Chardonnay in the fridge to welcome us, which was a lovely touch.
The road approaching the property is a bit rough, so I'd advise anyone to drive very slowly. The WiFi is very patchy, but there is a warning on the wall in the cottage saying that it can be slow. So don't expect to stream films or anything. There's a nice big TV with Freeview if you want to keep up with your programmes. The property is well positioned for access to tourist attractions in the area. For families with children, there are kiddy slides, little cars, etc, as well as ponies, chickens, etc to look at and there's a BBQ and outside seating for warm, sunny days and evenings.
It only takes about 10 mins in the car to Caernarfon where there are shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, etc, and of course, the amazing castle.
