Not having to transport our own kayaks was a great plus; kayaks in good shape. "The moment we walked in we were overwhelmed by the nostalgic memories of camping trips from our youth. The cabin, situated on a peaceful lake and in a fairy-woodland, gently persuades one to thoroughly release every stress. The cabin itself is well-stocked and smells of fresh pine. Our family was blessed beyond measure by our stay. Also, Heidi and her family are wonderful people! "

"A very peaceful and relaxing environment. Quick and easy access to beach from cabin where we enjoyed early morning walk with our dog. We stayed late in the season so essentially had the place to ourselves, which we highly recommend if you like a quiet getaway. Lots of walking trails in the immediate area. Highly recommend."

"We spent 4 nights at Birch Haven in July. It’s in a lovely, quiet, remote location just under 9 miles from Lubec. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable, surrounded by woods. The pictures are an accurate representation. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the deck, listening to birds, watching squirrels do their thing. "This beautiful apartment on Kendall's Head in Eastport was such an easy and comfortable place to stay. It was clean, nicely decorated and fully appointed with laundry facilities and dishwasher... beautiful views... comfortable bed, dining and lounging... all you need for cooking... and such nice hosts.. even a garage for the car (especially nice if the weather turns, which it did for one of our days). "The only issues I had Was when I got to my cabin the bed had not been made and the trash was not empty from the people before so we had to go to the red barn wash our bedding before we could sleep that night. "The property owner never returned my call to get the access code to the front door from 5 days prior to my visit and only after I got Expedia to call her did I get a text from her saying she told Expedia that her place was vandalized and was closed for the summer. When I texted her back WHY SHE NEVER RESPONDED TO MY CALL but instead left me hanging I got no text response back. And Expedia is to blame too if her listing REMAINS UP"
