"We did not stay at this property, but I had to pick a star in order to submit a review... We had to cancel our trip due to a severe winter storm in the area. Grand Welcome was not helpful, particularly communicative, or responsive about this. They did not respond to my inquiry about the state of the roads and property due to the storm. When I let them know that we would be cancelling, they directed me to file a claim through the insurance that I purchased and offered no other information or help...

"Lovely and cozy home with good proximity to Sugar Bowl. We’ll stay again! The only piece of caution is that the driveway is pretty steep, so if it’s snowy or icy you should have 4WD or chains on your tires. "

"House was nice, comfortable and clean. Need more forks😂 only have 8 total so lots of washing before meals and snacks. Front door entry was difficult at best, code is long and directions were not clear. Lots of steps up to house and inside, hard for anyone with mobility issues. "

"The cabin was beautiful, the outside deck collected enough snow our children and pets could play while we watched through the amazing large glass window. This home was perfect for our large family and very close to several ski resorts. "

The pros: spacious, clean, great deck with hot tub that has easy top lift, surrounded by pines, great view of golf course, fun games in loft, nice beds upstairs. The cons: microwave did not work, the deck was covered thick with pine needles that we had to sweep, the fire pit did not have a cover but we found it later on the side of the house so we put it on the fire pit, the downstairs bed is uncomfortable and noisy. "Our stay was very pleasant, lovely home, and great location. However, it would have been nice to have working tv remotes. There were 4 remotes none of which the maintenance technician could repair. He gave us a new one which worked fine. Kleenex, a colander, and salad spinner would have been great to have. We hope to rent this house again!"

"Same as last Christmas, including Christmas tree and decor. Spectacular view. Very large and comfortable. Made good use of sauna, steam rooms and hot tub. Remember to add a little chlorine each day. "It’s hard to find a comfy house that allows dogs, so we are glad we found this one! The house is HUGE. 3 floors so if you don’t do stairs well maybe re think this house. We didn’t mind the stairs at all. The house was super warm when we used the central heater and they provide a space heater for every room. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots and pans you could want. Everything in the kitchen works super well. Could use. A bit more silverware. Overall the stay was great and we’d stay...

"Everything was fine, but the normal sized coffee maker didn’t work, so we had to use the mini coffee maker. There were only 5 forks total. Iron but no ironing board. Body wash bottles empty in two of the three showers. So minor issues, but overall a comfortable cabin on a fairly busy street."

"Our stay this year went off without a hitch. I received a call the day before our arrival to be notified that the Fifty44 restaurant was closed and that the heat in our designated room was out so they were moving us to another room. I appreciated the heads up for sure. It was a bummer the restaurant was closed because it is one of our favorites and we eat at least 2 meals there during our stay but, hopefully next year we can enjoy it again.
