Sue and her husband were attentive.
* Quick to text back, they gave us suggestions for restaurants & advice on local traffic patterns - helpful to us, since we were traveling in from out of state.
* The room is decorated with eclectic touches inside & out, we loved the "All the French Your Cat Needs to Know" book & the Camano Island sign hanging just outside the front door!
* A personalized welcome sign was a nice touch, as were the brightly colored fresh flowers!
* The cozy cottage room is inventively laid out to provide privacy from the kitchen/living space to the bedroom. We used the tri-fold screen to block the glass front door for showering & evenings.
* The hand-laid stone floor covering in the wet bath is also a creative solution. I'm not a fan of wet baths (needing to dry the toilet after showering), but for the space and the handicap friendly use, it is a perfect fit!
* All good ideas to use for one's own VRBO rental now or in the future.
* The kitchenette is just as stated, perfect for local-sourced breakfasts - our smoked salmon, sour-dough, & specialty cheeses & fruits. The microwave warmed up drinks for us morning & night, and the fridge kept our favorite drinks cold & our pint of ice cream stayed frozen for desserts.
* I agree with a previous review that a 2nd chair in the living room chair would have helped, but we could have pulled in a hard chair from the bedroom. Instead, my husband and I shared the enormous soft chair.
* Our only issue was that a remote for outdoor lighting was reported missing after we left - yet we hadn't seen or used it while we were there. We hope it is found for future guest use.
* Our favorite part was that it was available for a last-minute booking to visit my parents on the island after they'd had a medical issue. (Other places off the island would have taken time away from our visit with them).
* While my parents rested, we spent our free time walking to the beach down the street, taking in the sunrise & sunset, touring the island's historic sites & a local farm, and driving to other beaches on that island and others.
* Thank you for making what could have been an unpleasant experience in a cold, far-away, off-island hotel room, a nice visit that felt like a "home away from home."
