The place is beautiful, hands down. It was just me, my husband and our daughter, so we had more space than we needed, but we enjoyed having the opportunity to spread out and lounge a little bit. The hosts are very friendly, and one of them, Rocky, built the place! There are a lot of fun touches and decorations all about. Good kitchen space, lots of cooking utensils and pots, etc. They even gave us 18 fresh eggs and helped in an emergency with some rice to round out our meal on evening #1 (didn't plan for how far the grocery is....it's very far!)
The views are amazing, too, really stunning. We were a bit socked in w/ haze from Western fires, but got some semi-clear days too.
It is a long drive to Yellowstone, all told. It is only 40 min or so to the West Entrance, but then it takes another 30 min to get into the park to places you will likely want to see and stop. But, I am VERY glad we stayed here vs in West Yellowstone, which is very touristy and crowded. Lovely place for a big group!
