"We stayed in the Tiny Cedar House rather than the above pictured tiny Adirondack house. It was located on a grassy flat lot along with the Adirondack house and one other tiny/small house, off a beautiful scenic road, 5 min to St Lawrence University and downtown Canton. Pros: 1) very good communication with owner, Dylan. He quickly answered any questions that came up and got us a few more towels promptly when I requested them. 2) Easy check in. "Not only is the host , Beth, always super responsive but always provides a pristine and cozy spot for us to stay. I also find that each time I come up ( this might be my 6th stay) she has added some other improvement or decorative touch. "Trout Lake has been an annual summer trip for us for the last 7 years and this house is our favorite rental by far. The cottage is cozy, but well appointed. We love the extensive waterfront in this beautiful cove and spend most of our time on the pontoon, in kayaks, hanging out on the dock or in the game room, and playing in the beautifully clear water. "The house was very clean, and had everything you would need! The beds were extremely comfortable, and the whole house was very cozy. The front of the house has big windows looking out over the River; it was a beautiful view and such a sweet little spot to spend a few days. There is a very nice hiking trail less than 1/2 mile away. We reached out to the owner about a concern and she was very communicative and helpful! A great stay; would highly recommend."
