Great location!
You can't beat the location. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. The staircase is pretty steep so maybe not the best place for toddlers. But this place is great for adults and for families with kids that have already mastered the art of walking (or haven't started yet).

Excellent Location
The location was perfect, especially when you have grandkids that wake up at 7am asking to go to the beach, it was easy being only steps away. The first floor ceiling is low with a beam that runs across making it hard on tall people and the stairway to the second floor is tricky but overall the place was great!

No Linens— towels or sheets.
Perfect location. We have been coming to Capitola for years. Just a couple of things to think about. The parking situation is a little inconvenient if you’re traveling with kids. We were lucky to find a spot in the village fairly close but it definitely took us all multiple trips. Additionally, this property does not provide linens. Sheets, pillow cases, hand towel, bath towels, face or kitchen towels. These properties are separate from the Venetian hotel— they may be more of long term rental properties? Anyway, it was my mistake, I did not read the fine print but it was a bummer to discover. Hoping someone else doesn’t make the same mistake. Just doesn’t make sense for me to pack in all the linens for a 2 night stay. Besides that being in Capitola and right on the beach is awesome no matter what. 😀

GREAT Location!
The property is well located and well maintained. The downstairs bathroom is very compact. It would be beneficial if linens and towels were supplied. Kitchen was very well supplied. Overall a great place.

Perfect weekend
We had so much fun staying in this cute beach house in capitola. The ceiling was a bit low for our 6’4” guest but that’s expected & was comical. The beach house has everything you need and is in the perfect location. Would definitely stay here again.

Capitola is Heaven
Capitola is a very special place in the history of our family. We’ve celebrated weddings, getaways and especially Thanksgiving for the past 30 years. Our time last Thanksgiving just added to that legacy. Everything was just as described and shown in photos. Working with you was smooth and easy. Looking forward to another trip there this year

Rented house for my 74th birthday for my children and me. My grandkids (some not all :)) plus my Great granddaughter showed up w/my grandson and she turned 4 while there with us. Was an incredible time and the owner went out of her way to get a BBQ so that we could grill on my birthday. Beach and weather were perfect and we all enjoyed our time there. I will go back. Great rental.

Could have been nicer for the price we paid. Had to bring our own linens and toiletries, sand on the ground and other evidence of needed cleaning and upgrades. Furniture not very comfortable and not friendly to my older parents. Thought the kitchen table might fall apart while we ate our meal. Very low ceiling, not recommended for anyone over 5’10”. Upstairs inaccessible to older folks or larger BMI b/c of the tight squeeze spiral staircase. First floor felt cramped. Top level nice layout and access to beach was marvelous. And not their fault but it would have been nice to know about the construction nextdoor since my elderly father had to stay inside most of the time due to mobility issues and had to listen to hours of hammering and pounding.

Venetian Dream!
The Venetian was always a bucket list “must stay” and it did not disappoint. The old adage “location, location, location” is true here! Steps to the beach and back to #8 for potty breaks and cocktails and of course…BACK TO THE BEACH! Quirky but comfortable this will be a repeat summer spot for us. Ceiling is low, but that adds to the charm! Just be careful and if having a cocktail or two, don’t jump to high to quick! You get used to the low ceiling in hours and it is a non-entity after that. The bathrooms take some maneuvering (small, especially the downstairs bedroom BR, but that is something that is easily lived with, Management crew were awesome! Had a small prob with a TV, and the property manager drove from San Jose that night to make it right!! Major kudos! Overall an easy 9/10! If you like the coastal, small village vibe, this is the place for you! Would I stay here again? In a Pizza my Heartbeat! Awesomeness!

We had a wonderful time staying at the best location in Capitola! Short walk to restaurants, stores, the beach, the wharf -- everything Capitola has to offer. Quirky, charming place that fits the location perfectly. Timely, helpful communication with the property managers was a plus! Will definitely come back again!

Great place and well equipped except….
This place is for short people only. It is well equipped although we resented having to bring our own bedding, towels, kitchen towels, etc. when traveling with a group we are lucky to fit our luggage and personal items in the cars let alone all of the extras. The house is decorated with love! It does need patio furniture to enjoy the deck.. And maybe some beach chairs to sit on the beach. PM was very helpful and responsive. Thank you for sharing your home.

Great place!
Very cute little house right by the beach. It's not fancy but it's in a great location and has everything you need - including beach chairs and toys. The ceiling downstairs is not high, so I don't think this would be a good place for anyone that is taller than 6' 2". We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location but disappointed about mold
The location is convenient & beautiful but the property unfortunately was not worth it for us. When you first enter the property and open the door the mold spores smells so bad we had to leave windows open the whole time we were physically in the property. Each time we left and came back it was the same so we had to reopen everything up. Asthma was triggered hard, sneezing & headaches for a few of us. When you go upstairs there is visible mold on the ceiling. It is understandable that properties by the ocean can contain mold very easily if not properly handled but this was definitely dangerous to our health & as a rental should be taken care of because it can be dangerous more so for some then others. This is the first time I have ever experienced the mold like this when staying by the ocean. Because this was a bucket list stay for our group and recommendations were great at other rentals here. So it was a little disappointing because we were all so excited & paid to enjoy our time there but stayed out as long as possible to not have to be effected by the mold spores. . .

Location was great, communication with property manager was easy. Clean. Only drawback was the parking/unloading situation, but that is unavoidable for being in the heart of Capitola. After you park everything is walking distance!

Great Spot on the Beach
This place was as advertised. Odd that it didn’t come with sheets but didn’t bother our group. Can’t beat the location. Be warned parking can be a struggle but our group made it work.
