About 45 minutes to the Thorton gap entrance of Shenandoah and the cabin is about 30 minutes down the river itself. "My friend and I had a great stay in the cabin. It was enough room for the 2 of us. Checking in and out was easy. The hot tub was really nice and clean! Cell service is a little spotty but to be expected in such a great/remote location. Would definitely recommend!"

Be sure to keep the owner's directions to the cabin handy, though, as the GPS will likely take you to the wrong location. Having no Wi-Fi or cell service at the cabin was a welcome gift — it allowed for lots of conversation and time to do a 500-piece puzzle together!"

"The place is off the beaten path but well worth it. Serenity surrounds you. We went to SNP to hike Old Rag Mountain and were so thankful for the hot tub at the end of the day. It was perfect. The house is clean, we ate all our meals at the there and it is equipped with all the basic pots and dishes you will need. Fireplace was awesome too. Highly recommend. "
