"Great little place in a gorgeous town. Very reasonably priced with friendly helpful staff. The town is close to so many fantastic places such as Penola, Coonawarra wineries, national park and beaches at Southend and Beachport. We weren’t planning to visit Penola but did so when a staff member recommended it and so glad we did."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Check-in was smooth, key details were sent via email a couple of days before as promised, no problems there. The area is convenient, minutes walk from the pier, cafes and restaurants. Only minor complaint was there were some old sausages in the oven (left by a previous guest?) that the cleaner must have missed. Just an area to be aware of. Overall, would stay again! "

"The perfect remedy to stressful life. A couple of nights here and I honestly feel renewed. Sophie is just wonderful, the most warm, thoughtful, welcoming host. Never intrusive and so lovely to have around for beautiful garden walks and chats. Absolutely everything you could want or need is provided. Our 5 year old daughter loved it too. "Customer service was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Private secure parking available. Shared toilets/showers could have been cleaner."

"The meals were very generous and good pub fare. The room was not heated at all, so be aware in winter it's cold!! An electric blanket would have been helpful. That said, the blankets were warm. Wifi didn't work in the rooms, so we weren't able to watch anything or plan the next day (no tv). Wifi worked in the shared lounge and in the bar. It was clearly a grand hotel in its day, nice that not too much has been modernised. "

"Comfortable and clean house in a great location in a quiet location. Bed was very comfortable and house was cosy in the cold and damp weather during the weekend. It’s great that the owner has thought of electric blankets on the beds and small heaters in the bedrooms. The coffee machine in the kitchen with ground coffee available was a super bonus not often provided in short term/ holiday rentals. Hoping to be back:-)"
