"This house is a terrific location for having LOTS of outdoor adventures! So close to Crater Lake, plus various hiking and kayaking areas. It was only about 1.5 hours to the Lava Beds NM, so we took a day trip down there, as well. Being vaguely familiar with the area, we knew to do some meal planning and grocery shopping before we got to Fort Klamath. Once here, check-in was a breeze and we got all settled in. "We visited for 4 days and stayed a 5th day so we could get another day of skiing in. We were comfortable, the place was heated, warm, cozy and away from everything which is what we wanted. There’s a store in town (Reeds) where you can grab groceries, Redding is a half hour away, Shasta 1.5 hours. Peace, quiet, Serenity, good for the kids to run around. Plenty of firewood for the old school stove. Beds cozy. Office nearby. Hottub wasn’t overchlorinated which was nice. They should make it lighter...
